I purchased a sphynx kitten, he was super skinny and malnourished. Trusting the breeder she told me he was just fine and would get better. So I stayed home from work to nurse him back to health for over a week. He just died from Leukemia. It was awful! And she takes no responsibility for selling me a sick kitten. I paid $2100 for him. This lady has way to many cats from so many different places, its a kitty mill! I miss my little boy dearly and its just a horrible and selfish thing she is doing. Please stay far away from this breeder, she needs to be stopped , those poor mama cats are not being taken care of and are pumping out sick kittens one right after another. I know of more people who have purchases sick kittens from her hoping they will come forward.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
Breeder's are easy to blame
AUTHOR: MinnSphynx - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Monday, March 06, 2017
The accusations in this claim are simply untrue. This person is looking for someone to blame for her poor kitten's unfortunate diagnosis, and breeders are usually the first to place blame on.
This person first notified us about having to put her cat down after it had been done. The cat was over a year old, and to our knowledge, had no other health issues. We cannot be positive of this because, although we asked for his full vet records so that our vet could review the records and confirm the results, this person refused to give them to us.
It is simply not possible that the leukemia came from our home. Our cats have all been tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and we shared these results with this person.
As for the accusations about the kitten being skinny and malnourished: yes, we will admit that the kitten was A LITTLE underweight, but was certainly not malnourished. The reason for the kitten being underweight was simply because he lost some weight after his neuter surgery. The kitten (and it's littermates) was seen by a vet and got a clean bill of health as well as a clear fecal float the day before it left our home. We expressed our concern with the kitten still being underweight with this person, and suggested she postpone picking him up for a few days, but this person was adament that she still wanted to take the kitten home as scheduled, and that she was fully capable of monitoring his weight since she had another Sphynx already. Although no harm came to the kitten as a result of him being slightly underweight, looking back, I wish I had been more firm in my position of wanting to keep him longer to monitor his weight.
Onto the accusation that my "poor mama cats are not being taken care of and are pumping out sick kittens one right after another" - I take exquisite care of all of my animals. The are healthy and loved, and certainly aren't 'pumping out kittens'. My females are not bred for the first time until they are at least 1 year of age, sometimes longer, depending on their maturity. In addition, each of my females only have a maximum of 2 litters per year, and all get plenty of time between litters to relax and enjoy life. AND in addition to that, my females will typically only have a total of 6-8 litters before they are spayed and retired. I do not keep them and breed them until they are old and unable to reproduce like many other breeders. I am a licensed breeder, and keep complete and thorough records of all of my cats.
I feel for this person, and I wish that I could prevent all animals from getting sick, but the fact is that there are some things that are out of my control, especially once the kittens leave my home.
