1.0 star rating 5/1/2016 After having been a patient for several years, I am telling all my friends, coworkers, family to steer clear of this establishment. I had a root canal that went terribly wrong. The dentist at Mint even told me that it was a difficult tooth with lots of canals. I guess the confidence level was through the roof to perform such a procedure on a "complicated order". After a couple of years or so after having the procedure done in their Dallas office, I developed an abscess on my back molar...the tooth on which they had performed the root canal. In severe pain, I called in December to see if I could get in for an urgent appointment due to the growth on the gum. I was told that I could not be seen until the second week of January. Not pleased with their answer, I decided to call another Mint Dentistry to see if they could squeeze me in. I was told that I would have to see the original dentist that performed the root canal. After getting the run around and being completely unsatisfied with Mint Dentistry, I chose to go to another dentist, who when I called their office, they seemed a little more caring about the fact that there was an abscess on my gum and that I needed to be seen ASAP. I got XRays done of my mouth since I was a "new patient" to this particular office. The dentist informed me that the dentist who performed the root canal might have left a utensil in the canal. My new, wonderful, caring dentist told me that instead of her attempting to deal with such a difficult tooth, she suggested an endodontist. I now have a happy mouth with all my happy teeth but having to pay 3x for the same tooth is beyond me. Save yourselves. Big names in dentistry isn't all it's cracked up to be. The radio spots telling you how great it is...is a blatant lie. The facility is great and the people are nice enough, I guess, but you should leave your mouth to real professionals. The free teeth whitening trays and solution are a decoy to mask the mediocre professionalism. Good day!
