I placed an ad online to sell my wedding dress when i recieved multiple emails regarding what type of payment i would accept, can i be trusted with the excess money to send it back via western union.

I recieved a check in the mail through ups made out to me in the amount of $3500.00 with instructions that states the following:
"email me immediately when you are in receipt of the check. Cash the check at your bank, deduct your funds, and western union the rest of the money back after all western union fees and shipping fees have been paid. It also states that funds should not be wired to the United Kingdom office as it has been temporarily closed to avoid internet fraud" The address that is given to ship the Item is Mita Ganesh, Lawrenceville Ga.

The check has a buisness on it of World Aircraft Connection with a Wachovia Bank in Pa. The routing number is very similar to a real one except it has one extra number. Most banks will cash this because it looks real. It states that it has an artificial watermark but it doesn't. Everything else on the check is correct.

Research anything that you get throught the mail before you cash any check. The banks aren't very forgiving and will hold you responsible for any loss that they incur.
