Mitchell N. Kay aka RJM Acquisitions aka Fingerhut ripoff There is a charge of $420.00 showing on my cedit report. I do not owe this Co. & want this fraudulent amt removed from my credit history.. New York New York

I did a routine credit check on myself and much to my surprise I found a $420.00 charge that is deliquent and listed in collection. RJM Acquisitions Fundi is the name I saw. I never received any correspondence from this company and had no idea who or what they were until I did some research on the internet and found that they are associated with Mitchell N. Kay, Atty and Fingerhut. I viewed other complaints againt Fingerhut and several collection agencies and/or lawyers apparently had written other people regarding false reports of monies owed to Fingerhut. I wasn't as lucky. I did not receive any such report that any money was owed it went directly to my credit history. This explains why I was recently turned down for a credit increase. I have always had a good to execellent credit report to now. I want to know why it is so easy to ruin someone's credit history, and if I didn't check, I would have never have known. The question is " How Do I correct this on my credit report and how do I press charges against the ones reponsible for putting this false accusation there in the first place.
