It has come to the attention of the car buyers advocate at badbusinessbureau.com that the Florida attorney general last week has subpoenaed the sales records of some Mitsubishi car dealers.

It seems that some Mitsubishi car dealers became a bit greedy and possibly had some of their employees create some false sales records to get bonus money from the car maker. It seems that there was some bad sales people working for Mitsubishi that was creating false car buyer info to the maker to help the dishonest car dealers make more money in a dishonest way.

The car dealers that are being investigated are:

Bill Seidle Mitsubishi in Miami ...954-745-7700
Lehman Mitsubishi in North Miami ...305-652-5252
Kendall Mitsubishi in Miami ...305-669-2000
King Mitsubishi in Lighthouse Florida ...954-941-5880
Coconut Creek Mitsubishi, Coconut Creek Florida ...954-283-1000
Delray Mitsubishi in Delray Beach Florida ....561-276-7800
Fort Myers Mitsubishi in Ft Myers Florida ...941-277-1222

When a car dealer reports to the car maker that a new car has been sold, the car maker will activate the car's warranty on the reported date of sale. But if the car is still not sold the warranty's clock has already started even though the car has no owner.

This upsets me so much that car makers do not care what new car dealers do to their costumers. If a car maker wanted to stop new car dealers from sending false info on new car buyer to the car makers they need to make sure that all new car buyers call a 1 800 # to activate their warranty. It is a known fact that some new car dealers do not want car makers to have any contact with the unhappy new car buyers.

This is where the dealer sends fake buyer info to the factory so the factory will send the "dealer bonus money" coming to the dealer. This is screwing the consumer where the clock starts ticking on the warrantee on your new car that could be bought 6 to 12 months down the road or even longer. That's time off your warrantee!

If you have bought a new Mitsubishi in Florida in the past, you need to call Mitsubishi at 1-800-222-0037 and make sure that you and Mitsubishi have the correct warranty activation date. If you do not, you could be paying for repairs that could be covered under the maker's warranty.

Ever wander why TV Stations and big newspapers do not want to expose dirty car dealers tricks? No TV stations want to anger their big advertisers. Most all TV Stations get most of their advertising income from car dealers.
