I leased a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse from the dealer in Houston, Texas. In 2003 I wanted to finance a new 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport. While in the process of doing this I was reassured that I would not be responsible for any charges on the lease as long as I purchased another car from Mitsubishi. I am not stuck with paying the overage charges for a 2000 Eclipse that I no longer own.
This is very frustrating to me because I am paying for a Montero and an Eclipse and I feel it is very unfair to be paying for both, if I am still driving a Mitsubishi. I am really looking for some help as to how I can stop paying for a car I haven't owned since 2003. Can someone help? I would be extremely gratful. Thanks!
