This company posted a entry level beginning salary at $38,000-40,000 with a college degree. I went to an initial interview which was vague, but I was told the company had been around for 23 years (THEY HAVE ONLY BEEN AROUND FOR 2) and they did marketing for the Cincinnati Reds (THEY DON'T) along with many other big name companies in the Cincinnati area.

That night I was contacted for a second interview and got the job. I was taken 2 hours from the office, given a map with a few streets and had to go door-to-door trying to sell restuarant gift cards for 9 hours in below freezing (20-25 degrees)by myself in the dark until 8pm.

This company is also known as MJ Promotional Group and MJ Promtions/ Noble Marketing. I NEVER got paid and had NO benefits (I WAS TOLD I DIDN'T NEED THEM B/C I WAS YOUNG!)

I ended up with an inner ear infection due to the excruciating weather and could not work. I tried contacting the company to get paid and they WOULD NOT return my calls. I WORKED FOR 50HRS FOR A TOTAL OF $25 THAT I MADE BY SELLING THEIR 'PRODUCT'. Most of their employees make $150 a week working 40-50 hours, but stay because they are promised they will make $100,000 in a few months. I was told 3-4 months then 7-8 months and finally 1+ years it was a longer period each day I went in. However, they are very convincing, almost brainwashing the way they ran business. THAT'S WHEN I KNEW I HAD TO GET OUT OF THERE!!!

MJ Promotions IS A HUGE SCAM!!!! Do not waste your time like I did. They are actually apart of Cydcor which has similar groups allover the U.S.

I could go into great detail about all of the lies they told me but all I can say is DO NOT RESPOND TO THEIR AD IF YOU WANT A JOB THAT ACTUALLY PAYS YOU!!!

MJ Promotions Changes Name!

AUTHOR: Linsey - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 12, 2005

I recently went to an interview in Cincinnati for "Edge Marketing" and when I got to the office, I noticed that there was a nameplate that said "MJ Promotions". They claimed that they are "borrowing MJ's office while they build a brand new one". It is the same company and the same scam as Noble and MJ!! Luckily I knew about these companies and had fun not caring about my interview, but I know of others who have fallen into the same salesperson trap. They do not provide permits and do NOT follow up on anything they say.
PLEASE spread the word about these companies! They are all over careerbuilder and monster.
