In reviewing my banking statement online today, I noticed a debit by MKS Privacy Plus. Further research reveals this is a well known credit card scam. Some reports state this company is a customer of America Online while others report they have been fraudently billed by this company on a credit card they have not used in over a year.
Looking back at my statements, these these thieves have nabbed me as follows:
On 7/7/2003, MKS Privacy Plus charged my account $1.00
On 8/5/2003, MO2 Privacy Plus charged my account 14.95
On 8/31/2003, MKS Privacy Plus charged my account 14.95
Based on reading others misfortune caused by these swindlers, they will continually raise their fees unless caught. My hope is that these slackers will get their butts nailed to the wall by the law and certainly if I can get their biographical information I will do my part to see that happens.
