MMCA - Mitsubishi Motors Credit Of America BIG TIME RIPOFF Mobile Alabama

By the time my lease was up with MMCA,(I wanted to buy but the financial guy told me that leasing was better, he didn't even let me call anybody about it), and I was making my last payment, I was deciding if I should keep the Mitsubishi Montero 2001 or turn it in to buy with some other dealer.I noticed that my car was gone and my neighbor's told me that a tow company tooked it away. I called MMCA and asked them if they had my car picked up.They said my lease was up and took it.I thought it's common practice to have a Mitsubishi come out and look at it, then tell me what the cost was to end the lease.


I decided to purchase from another dealership and I had them call MMCA to see how much the buy out would be.The dealer said that they would be able to issue them a check for $5500 and would add that to the cost of the new loan for the car PURCHASED. So, after the check was sent to them from the dealer I received a letter dated 10/12/06, indicating that my balance was a credit of . I had called MMCA on 11/9/06 asking where the check was? They told me that they were sending it back to the dealership and they would have to issue me a check.I'd asked them where the process was and they told me, they still needed to get management approval on it. They also told me that the dealership wanted the check sent to them. I called the dealership about MMCA and they had told me that MMCA wanted to do that instead of sending me the check. MMCA had LIED about that. The dealership told them that the deal that they had made with me is to pay the closeout and that amount is added to the loan and they had also mention that my name was on the account for the lease and the check should be sent to me. But MMCA said "NO". Now where am I? MMCA is now telling me that it will take another 4 weeks after the management approval that the dealership would receive the check. I will not ever again buy any Mitsubishi autos and will tell everyone I know not to do so either. MMCA is a nightmare!
