Model One Casting, Don Catalano aka Dylan Marciano, Mary Brady, Little Hamlets, The Hollywood Company are all connected.

My most recent experience with this "group" (which is actually all one person) is from responding to an ad on Craig's List seeking new models who are not currently working and/or signed with an agency. The ad was a blind ad (as most of them are) with no agency name listed.

I received a response from a woman who said she is "Kim" and a talent scout for Model One Casting. Since I then had the agency name, it rang a bell and I searched it on the California Talent Agency database: http://www.dir.ca.gov/databases/dlselr/Talag.html

According to California Civil Code Section 1700.5, it clearly states that an agency must be licensed prior to conducting business (also, if the agency is not licensed, they cannot get one work, so what's the point of signing with them?):
"No person shall engage in or carry on the occupation of a talent agency without first procuring a license therefor from the Labor Commissioner. The license shall be posted in a conspicuous place in the office of the licensee. The license number shall be referred to in any advertisement for the purpose of the solicitation of talent for the talent agency."
http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=lab&group=01001-02000&file=1700.5-1700.22

So anyway, I told "Kim" that Model One Casting is not licensed, and if I am incorrect, please establish legitimacy.

She responded by saying that per all "websites involved, Model One Casting is a sister company of Central Casting."

Uh-huh, rrrriiiiiggghhht.

I responded by saying, "If Model One Casting is a sister company of Central Casting, then why is the website for Model One Casting registered to Don Catalano and not Entertainment Partners?"

She responded by saying that she had no idea what I was talking about, but to forward her the information about this person because "her company" is legit.

She did not answer my question. How can the website for her "legit company" be registered to someone that she does not know?

I contacted Entertainment Partners and forwarded the emails to their legal department. When I spoke to two different people at Entertainment Partners, they immediately established that Model One Casting is not associated with them.

Furthermore, I have previously met, in person, Dylan Marciano aka Don Catalano. I have business cards for Model One Casting with the name of "Mary Brady" as the "VP of Talent" . . . he explained to me that Mary is high-end fashion, has a house in the Hills and she's a serious business woman.

He does not have a cell phone or voicemail, or an email address listed on his cards.

The scam in which I was involved was his Little Hamlets gig. He told me he is starting a training classes for children, gave me the website info, advised me that it's not complete yet b/c he's just launching it and he is hiring a part-time sales person. The kicker is, the commissions would be close to $100K per year in the first year . .. part-time . . . rriiiggghht.

We spent quite a long time talking to one another. He also explained to me that he is working on a pilot for t.v. and that he's a writer, but has not had the time to write anything because he's been busy all his life working as a manager. He finally now has the time and money to get a pilot done and he believes there to be no problem getting it picked up.

He was currently casting for the "Don Juan Club," explained to me the plot . . . he is casting women who run a modeling agency . . . it would be along the lines of "Entourage" meets "Sex in the City." Of course, the actors would not be paid !

I went home and did extensive research on him. The first thing I found was a complaint about him and the "Don Juan Club" casting . . . a woman wrote that she came from San Francisco to audition for the pilot and he propositioned her. She supposedly reported him to the Wilshire police.

For me, I not only found the casting agency to be illegit, but everything that he told me was too "out there." First of all, he wanted to meet me after hours (even for the 2nd meeting). I was in his office at 6363 Wilshire Blvd., however, when meeting someone after hours, there's no one in the office, so how does one know it's not just a front ?

I did at reverse telephone search on the phone number listed on the card: 323-852-1774 . . . it comes back as registred to "Hollywood Company." I did an extensive search on "Hollywood Company" . . . I went to the website for the Better Business Bureau and did a search by using his address . . . 6363 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 202 . . . there is a complaint against "The Hollywood Company" at that address filed on 10/09/2007 due to requesting a refund for money.

When I called to cancel my second meeting with him, a young male receptionist answered. When I asked for voicemail, I was told he does not have it. Isn't that strange? Also, that a business person in this day and age does not have a cell phone? Or an email address on their cards ?

If I have the time, I like to see who is on the other end of these deals. It's not a big deal for me to go see what scams are about. I like to see what happens. I have nothing to lose. They are playing a game to see if they can get me to have sex with them and I play the game in having them tell me everything that's involved. They open up, I open up and it's really interesting to see how far these idiots will go just to get sex.

First of all, Dylan Marciano aka Don Catalano is about 65 years of age. He's not attractive by any means of the word. He explained to me that he gets propositioned all the time from gorgeous women who are so desperate to get ahead . . . they will do whatever it takes.

And that, I'm sure is why, he goes to these extremes.

Regarding Don Catalano and Model One Casting,. L.A. Models, Hollywood Models, Starlite Casting etc.

AUTHOR: diana - (United States)

POSTED: Thursday, April 04, 2019

Don Catalano is from Buffalo, New York and spent 8 years in prison there for passing counterfeit money to an undercover cop. He learned nothing and has since spent his entire life being a con man. He is VERY good at what he does.

He opens phony casting companies and modelling agencies around the Los Angeles area and used to pay to blanket the city with paper fliers but has now moved on to the internet and Craigs List. When enough people complain and they come after him, he immediately closes the company and simply opens up under another name.

He made his money for years by claiming that every single actor or model that walked through the doors of his various companies had to have their head shots redone because they were not good enough. The person taking those head shots was his girlfriend who had absolutely zero experience taking photos of any kind. He thought this was amusing until he had to move more than once when they found out where he lived and his home and cars were vandalized.

He has never had any legitimate work and makes his living ripping off young wannabe actors, actresses and models. I am not surprised he is still doing this and is now in his 70's. Just shows you how long you can survive running illegitimate businesses in the Los Angeles area and nothing is done about it.. This man is frightening and has no conscience. He has been contacted many times but he always talks his way out of being prosecuted. PLEASE BEWARE.

Vanished into thin air

AUTHOR: RedDwarf - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 08, 2013

This guy.

His Don Juan Club production was a sort of a rip off.  He took in a lot of money in a effort to make a pilot.  I was quite involved in it and know more than I would like to admit.  For what he was doing some money was spent in an effort to make the production.  Music, some editing and scripting.  Not to mention a lot of writing on his own.  Though I lost a lot of money and so did a lot of others and I think that Don could have been a lot more forthcoming, but in hind sight in his way I do feel that he was trying to make a go at completing the production.  He spent more then he needed than would have been required for just a scam.  Though I give a lot of credit to Vardon for that.

As for his casting agency.  Well he was good at getting people to come in but he was no good a delivering extras to a set.  And this report killed that off.  Unfortunately that caused him to have to live off the money for the Don Juan Club, which killed that off.

I have to admit it but this web site he created was an idea that I mentioned to him in a meeting.  Go figure.  I have and several others been trying to locate him as he has vanished off the map since this happened if anyone has any ideas.

They're now called Starlight Models and Talent!

AUTHOR: Markvi - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, August 06, 2009

A year ago, I responded to an ad on Craigslist regarding acting and extra work. In the email, they told me to call one of their casting lines and hear what postings they had. They listed all of these T.V. shows and movies that I haven't heard on other legit casting sites, so I drove down and met with them. I was introduced by a tall brunette by the name of Hilary Matt. She said for $150 I can make unlimited submissions with their company. I got suckered and paid that amount.

A year has passed and despite constantly calling to submit and declaring my availabilty to the company, I had NOT gotten any work! I called to make a complaint. Hilary called me back and made some b.s. story about not expecting to get every job and how her company is sister companies with a VERY LEGIT company known as Central Casting. One, other companies were able to get me a lot of work, but they weren't? Two, I later called Central and they were like WTF?

This company is pretty shady. A while back, if you googled the address, there would be similar sites as this casting company site but advertising things like escort services and massages.

Now, I've heard these scumbags have resurfaced as Starlight Model and Talent. Instead of this elusive Mary Brady, the mysterious big shot woman is now called Alice Gold.

Here's their website. It has the EXACT template that Model One Casting used to have!

Don Is The Real Victim Here!

AUTHOR: Chris - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 10, 2009

I know for a fact that Model One Casting, The Hollywood Company, Mary Brady and Don Catalano are not all the same person as Sarah originally claimed and then later recanted.

At least Sarah admitted that she got her facts all screwed up, but why would someone go on a big time, smear campaign like this in the first place, especially on a site like this, without checking their facts first? I don't think anger really explains it. I think Kirsten Kellogg aka Sarah must be a pretty sick puppy. I read her initial report or smear campaign very carefully and not even once does she actually say that Don ever did anything wrong to her but she sure paints a very ugly picture of him. Then she says it was all just a mistake. Give me a break. What kind of a person would go on a big time, smear campaign like this, and then, take it all back?

Don was my personal manager for years. I know him well. He always did right by me. I've met many other clients of his. They all have good things to say about him. I've also met Mary Brady, a very professional woman. Don did a lot for me. Reading this B.S. is really disturbing. For someone to concoct this kind of smear campaign against him is pretty sick.

There is a victim here. But, it's not Kirsten Kellogg aka Sarah. It's Don.

a lot of damage has been done: to her: to me.

She was upset because of how she was treated, posted here out of anger, later regretted it, tried to take it down, but couldn't. At least, she admitted that she was mistaken and, for that, I am grateful.

I reacted to her posting out of anger and slammed her here as well. I regret that too. It should be taken as a lesson for everyone. This isn't high school. We're adults. We shouldn't act like angry kids. There are harmful consequences.

For the record, to cut down on expenses I've rented out rooms to a lot of different businesses in my offices.

Among other things, I own a web development company. I've built hundreds of web sites for a wide variety of businesses. Often, I'd get an idea, build the site, set it up as an online business and then sell it. Or, at least, try to. Some I've sold, some I haven't. Such is life.

Consumer Comment - I was afraid it was a scam too.

AUTHOR: Sandy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 09, 2009

I signed up with Model One Casting to do extra work. I paid the $150 fee and was afraid it was a scam because they charged an upfront fee as a calling service but because a friend of mine recommended them to me I thought I'd give them a try anyway. It was only $150 for a whole year so I figured if I got 1 or 2 jobs it would be worth it.

It turned out pretty good. I got work on 3 tv shows, Entourage, Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives. I was also in 1 movie called Made In Vermont. I more than made my money back and found out what it was like working on set. It was really fun. I quit doing extra work because I needed to find a real job and a steady pay check but I think they were very decent to me.

KIRSTEN KELLOGG PROSTITUTE WANNABE ACTRESS MODEL AND VICIOUS LIAR.

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 11, 2008

KIRSTEN KELLOGG PROSTITUTE WANNABE ACTRESS MODEL AND VICIOUS LIAR.

LET'S CALL THIS STORY, FOR THE SAKE OF ACCURACY,

HELL KNOWS NO FURY LIKE THE WRAITH OF A SCORNED PROSTITUTE

After reading what this woman Kirsten Kellogg prostitute wrote about me, my first instinct was just to just ignore it because it's so absurd but, after some thought, it became clear that there is no erasure for crap like this that's posted on the Internet. When someone nasty and devious puts something out there like this, even though it's filled with lies and distortions, it may remain out there forever.

People who post crap like this on the net always do it anonymously. They think they can hide behind a black curtain, damage and even destroy someone's reputation, hit and run style like a thief or mugger who attacks you in the dead of night and then goes dancing on their merry way. But, I know this woman fairly well, and now you shall, too.

This is the real story of what happened between myself and this woman, Kirsten Kellogg prostitute, who does her dirty deeds behind the fake name of Sarah. Let's take it step by step.

The first time I encountered Kirsten Kellogg prostitute was when I posted an ad on Craig's List Personal Section under the Casual Encounters Category. I guess it's the sort of thing people do when they get bored and have a little too much time on their hands like me.

The heading of the ad read: Wealthy, Mature, Businessman. I received a pretty good response
(Craig's List is amazing) and one of the responders was Kirsten Kellogg prostitute. She sent a lengthy reply that included a number of very hot, sexy photos obviously meant to entice me.

As I recall, her email in summation said: she was a struggling actress and model and was looking for a sugar daddy arrangement. She said, she was new to LA, from Chicago and had extensive experience pleasing men. She claimed she was very, very good at it. I could have her for $500 per night or for $5,000 a month, I could have anything I wanted from her. No holds barred.

It was one of about a dozen emails I received from hookers like her and, I have to admit, I read them all with great amusement. As far as I was concerned that was the beginning and end of it but obviously I was very wrong.

Flash forward: I decided it might be a good idea to open an acting school for kids. I ran ads on Craig's List for teachers and administrators. Kirsten Kellogg responded. I didn't remember her by name from our previous correspondence and invited her in for an interview. The moment she entered my offices, I recognized her from the photos she had sent me. Although, she appeared much older and harsher in person, I knew it was the hooker who had tried to engage me before.
We talked for quite awhile. As I found out, she's quite a talker. I had nothing to hide so I opened up. I told her that I had been a personal manager for over 30 years but wasn't looking to take on any new talent right now because I was going into the film and tv production business. I also told her I was also going to be doing a little acting as well and told her that my stage name was Dylan Marciano. I also told her that I had appeared in two tv pilots, years before, that were Directed by Charles Marquis Warren. I also told her I was a writer.

She told me that she just loved the idea of my children's acting school and really wanted the job very, very much. She said kids and parents loved her and she could make me a lot of money if I hired her. Right

Can you imagine hiring a hooker to work with kids and parents? I don't think so. I told her, I'd have to think about it, never disclosing to her the fact that I knew what she really was all about which was a prostitute. The fact that she is a hooker showed in her face. She looks very hard in person and apparently has been down a lot of rocky roads. She told me she was in her 20's but it appeared to me that she was a lot closer to 40 than 20. Looking at her face reminded me of that great line, Something evil this way comes. That may give you an apt indication of just how hard she looks in person.

She also wanted to audition for my projects, telling me what a great actress she was and just needed that one break to get her career going. At no time did I ever tell her that women throw themselves at me. You'd have to be nuts to swallow that line of horse s**t. My God, what a liar.

Anyway, after our meeting, she called the office for about two weeks non-stop but I would not return any of her calls. She pleaded for my voice mail, cell phone, home phone number but my receptionist, under strict orders, would not to give it out to her under any circumstances. Then, she sent me a letter. It included a semi-nude photo of her in a tiny French maid's outfit and a statement of how great it would be for me if I hired her or gave her a part in one of my projects. Nice girl

Now, let's get to the rest of her statement and address the lies and distortions point by point.

1) Model One Casting is owned by Mary Brady and not me. Model One Casting is not a talent agency and does not claim in any way to be one. Model One Casting is a talent management or model management business. Kirsten Kellogg prostitute made a big deal out of this fact in her statement and said in so many words that if you're not a talent agency you were a useless entity and what's the use of signing with such a useless entity. But, there is an ironic twist here. It just so happens that Kirsten Kellogg prostitute, as of this date, is signed by a company called Model Management, Inc. You can find her photos in their Lifestyle Models section on their web site. This is the ironic part. Model Management, Inc. is not a licensed talent agency in the State of California. They are a management business exactly the same as Model One Casting. Talk about putting up a false front, well this is it, but the deception doesn't stop here.

2) The Hollywood Company. That business opened in 1999 and was an extras calling service run by a woman who shall, for now, remain nameless. She rented space in our offices and used one of our phone lines which, of course, she paid for. Her extras business closed a few months back because I couldn't stand having all those extras coming into the offices anymore. Simply put, I gently kicked her out and she closed the business down. In the nine years, or so, that she ran her operation, she had exactly one complaint from the Better Business Bureau from a customer who requested a refund and she promptly refunded his money without any hesitation at all. To my knowledge she ran a very clean business and there were no other complaints against her until she closed shop. And, for whatever reason, their complaints went unanswered. But, Kirsten Kellogg prostitute doesn't mention that The Hollywood Company had only one complaint in nine years of operation and that the complaint was handled satisfactorily. On the contrary: she makes the company sound absolutely awful.

3) The talent scout. Their was a girl by the name of Kim, who I know to be a very decent person and an actress, asked if she could do some scouting for Model One Casting. I asked Mary Brady if this was okay and Mary said it was. Apparently, Kim ran into Kirsten Kellogg prostitute and somehow the s**t hit the fan. Kim had no idea she was dealing with a barracuda in lipstick and got screwed around pretty good. I know nothing of what actually occurred between the two of them and disavow any association with Central Casting. I also know that Model One Casting does not do extra work and in general it's looked down upon by Mary Brady and her crew as well as most professionals in the entertainment industry. In my opinion, extra work is only good for very raw beginners and kids just starting out. In my opinion, extra work, by and large, is not at all good for an actor's career.

4) Writing. According to Kirsten Kellogg prostitute, I never wrote anything before because I was too busy working. Another lie. I authored a book entitled America's Richest Bachelors that was a huge success back in the eighties. The next project that I will produce will be a tv pilot based entirely on the premise of that book. The book was such a hit that most major newspapers in the country ran featured stories on it. Cosmopolitan Magazine also ran a four page article on it. Does anyone know why Kirsten Kellogg prostitute would lie like this?

One last thing. Kirsten Kellogg prostitute said that the scam she was involved in was my acting school for kids. Ask yourself this, how can a acting school for kids, that would teach kids acting, singing and dancing lessons be a scam when it was primarily set-up for under privileged kids on a free scholarship basis? By the way, it hasn't opened as yet but eventually it will. In my humble opinion, Kirsten Kellogg prostitute is one of the most disgusting people on earth
