Yes, we fell for it as well!! A talent scout from MTG was at a pageant we were attending, obviously trolling for parents and their children in hopes of luring these hopeful victims into their scam. So very convincing, we set up an appointment and met with "Tasha". The interview was very upbeat and positive and nothing lead us to believe this was anything but a reputable Modeling Agency, with our foot in the door for future endeavors. My daughter has ALWAYS had hopes and dreams of entering the larger scale acting, modeling and entertainment world beyond her numerous local castings. She was so excited that this was FINALLY the opportunity she had been waiting for! So we signed the $39.95/mo for 18 month contract to FINALLY allow her to spread her wings. Then came the photo shoot. Once again, several candidates of various ages were there trying to ,also, fulfill their dreams. This day heightened my daughter's anticipation of the new opportunities ahead. The photo's were an additional fee of approx $350.00, to start her web page for potential clients to view her photos in hopes "she would be the one!" Six months now into the contract, no calls: actually we cannot even get them to call us back!(After 8 attempts of leaving messages on each extension) .Now, reading all these other reports...what are we suppose to do? If we choose to cancel the contract, it is a $400...or continue the contract for the $39.95/mo for another year. Either way we are screwed...but the most upsetting point is the disappointment and upset ,as well as humiliation my daughter has suffered as a result of this!!! I can only pray justice prevails and this company is shut down, preventing others from suffering the same injustice! Any help ,advise or input into our situation, as well as others being taken by this company are sincerely welcome!

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Also Ripped off.

I too have just had a photo shoot with this "model talent group" I wanted to post on this particular thread because I seen another model posting here from Independence, MO.

I too thought this was possibly the chance for me. I too have met "Troy" and "Angela" however from each thread that I read, or website I visit, I notice that others have met the same people, only were given diffrent names.

I also spent money on a disc of MY PHOTOS. My mother and I spent almost $300.00 on that one disc. Soon after the shoot never again have we heard from "Troy" or "Angela" via e-mail, or phone. Not only did this irratate us, but it creeped me out knowing that these people were keeping all these photos of so many men and women. Why? you know?

I learned from another site that "model Talent Group" is basicly the cover up name for what the "agency" is really known to be. Here I will type the link to that page I found

http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/modeling/modeltalentgroup.html

My mother and I are taking action in anyway we can right now. If anyone else sees my post I hope the best for you in trying to get back the money that is yours and was STOLEN from you.

I believe it will help if others will let it be known about these people and their "agency" in any way you can. (facebook, myspace, twitter, ect.)

P.S.- Eff you "troy"

I just canceled my contract today with them. I am so sick of trying to get a hold of those two and never hear anything untill I bug them too much then they call me on some job that they sent my info too and they say they will call to let me know in a couple of days and then they never call. they dont respond to emails and any other models i talk to are all new and dont know too much. this is a complete scam, if you want to be a model you should never have to pay for anything , its your angency that pays for it and any job you get they get a percentage. model talent group charges you 39.95 for a website that troy owns himself and they get 20% of what ever job you get hired for.

I have been paying $40/mo for 6 months to have my pictures put on their website and have not gotten a single call for any jobs!  I'm losing money with Troy and Angela and I can't even get an email back from them to try to get out of my contract! I don't know what I should do, I want to get out before I lose too much money.  I'm thinking about going to a lawyer to see if there is anything that can be done about this scam
