For those of you looking for REAL russian hair extensions, DO NOT order from MOHAIR BEAUTY. I am a small and successful hair extension salon in Toronto, ON. I pride myself on providing excellent service and high quality hair to my clients. However, I have realized not all businesses operate in the same way.

I recently ordered virgin blond russian wefted hair from Mohair Beauty in Vancouver. They charged my client $700 for 3oz. bundle of hair, claiming it was a half price sale they were having and that they would be hand sewing 3 wefts for her. Although this was still pricey we decided to order it anyway.

What arrived at my salon was a bright orange small bundle of hair!!! I was shocked, as an expert in the field of hair extensions with 15 years experience I knew instantly that this was not russian hair and it was not virgin hair. The weft , which is the sewn part that holds the hair together was black, telling us that this hair had started out black and had been bleached to orange!!! I immediately called Mohair Beauty Salon and asked them why they had sent us a $700 bleached out bundle of hair, when we had ordered and paid for uncoloured (virgin) blond russian hair with handmade wefts.

They offered no explanation to myself or client. They also did not offer to send us the real hair. After my client called and emailed them several times threatening them they finally did refund her credit card. In the meantime I had the hair analyzed at a lab in Toronto to find out the origin of this hair and the test results showed that the hair is likely from India and had indeed been bleached. I asked Mohair to provide me with an apology and a Purolator account # so I may return the hair to them without using my own $ but they have yet to do so!!!!

This is a huge problem in the industry, many companies offer real russian or european hair but it really is cheap and very available indian hair that has been coloured. Do not be fooled by this company, they don't have Russian Hair!!!!
