I am decided to create this blog because of we have been ripped off by a company called Monarch Computer.

The Order
On December 26, 2006 we were in need of a new SATA Raid controller and a battery backup unit. We searched for what we needed and found the best prices at monarchcomptuer.com.

So we put $925.62 worth of computer hardware from Monarch in the store shopping cart. We tried to pay them via Mastercard but for some reason their payment processing system was not work and recommended PayPal. We sent over the $925.62 via paypal web checkout and immediately received an email receipt

These items to date have not arrived.
The Problems
We tried using the website www.monarchcomptuer.com to locate our order which it cannot. Then we tried to call them only to find out that no phone number is listed on their site. The only way to get ahold of them was via email to orders@monarchcomputer.com. We have sent countless emails to them and have not even once been dignified with a response. The only emails we got back from them were what their specials are for the month.

So we did some detective works and found a ton of complaints against this company:
This started look BAD from here on out....

PayPal Claim

So since we paid via Paypal web checkout we decided to file a Paypal claim to see if they could give us our money back. Boy was this a waste of time... We did win our claim because Monarch did not respond to any of Paypals requests but because Monarchs account was emptied they could not get us the funds back.

We asked what will Paypal do on our behalf and they said all that they can do is turn them into a collection agency and that since there account is shutoff no more funds will be put into this account and therefore there is no way they can access monarch funds to refund us or money. Paypal's buyer protection only works on ebay and no on the web checkout. So to put it in layman's terms we need to approach monarch to get our money back because paypal could care less.

Findings:

We after speaking with paypal and figuring out that could care less about getting our money back we decided to do some more investigating and see what we could find. We found out about BBB report and all of the customers complaints but then this little tidbit showed up on paypals very own site:

So I read this an realized not only is Paypal not going to give me my money back they are supporting the company that stole $925 from me on their very own website.
