Monique Michelle Mathews, A Fraudster, Deceiver and liar. Arcadia, California

This lady used the Name Michelle Lopez and gave us a long story about her long affiliation and experience with breeding Yorkshire terriers, adding that she had learned her skills from her mother who was well known amongst Yorkshire terrier Owners and breeders, continually stating that she only dealt with this breed of dog and needed to be sure the dog was going to a good home. 

We went to her home and viewed the puppy we were going to buy and asked to see the parents, she brought in a female Yorkshire terrier saying this was the mother.    She had her home set up with a room for puppy viewing and used this set up to support her stories.  

Please note all the above has been found to be false.    We paid cash and luckily had the dog checked and he is healthy.  As the puppy has grown we are continually asked if it is mix with a Yorkshire terrier as there does seem to be some question as to this point.

She provided us with papers and a registration document for 'helpmefindMYPET' microchip and promised to send on the American Canine Association papers.     We have tried unsuccesfully to obtain these and after much research and many phone calls tracked down her association with the shop 'Pets Delight" apparently she is related to the owner and it is of concern that this relationship exists.

We will be contacting the DA's office in Pasadena and the Arcadia Fraud department.
