Monterey County Credit Union Inadequate online accounting Marina, California

Our experience with Monterey County Credit Union was very poor. The people seem nice but there is little follow up and they seem to do anything to get extra fees. A simple online transfer of funds from savings to checking costs $5.00 each time. They withheld funds on my bi-monthly paycheck, even tho the check was a government check, and had to be called to put the funds into our account after the date it should have been put into the account. Their online banking is very poor. There is no way to actually tell what your balance is and they do not post pending transactions. The page is set up with a one column entry which is impossible to decipher. When called about this problem, the person on the telephone claimed that they were just a small bank so they could not have up to date software. I would advise anyone considering transferring to this credit union to find another solution. Monterey County Credit Union seemd to be the worst of small town banking - avoid at all costs (and do mean costs).
