I was first contacted by the most abusive and threatening debt collection person ever, a Mr. Cliff Kerrigan, regarding default payments in a timeshare ownership. He refused to allow any payment arrangements and demamded full amount of $10,000, and immediately threatened me with a lawsuit and wage garnishment.

He did not give the standard intro of "this is an attempt to collect a debt..." He refused to tell me where he was from, and told me if I had read the mail sent a week prior to his call i would know who he is .I informed Mr. Kerrigan of the reason for the default.

Such as two open heart surgeries, medical leave, death of a grandchild, a mother, and mother-in-law. During this whole time he ridiculed me, over talked me loudly, saying boo h*o boo h*o I don't care, am I suppose to? I'm giving you to the end of the week to come up the money.

Mr. Kerrigan told me to borrow from my husband's family, to whch I said I could not, he replied nastily, "some family you married into." He continued to threaten me with action, calling me a deadbeat, and loser. I reported his behavior to BBB san diego and ftc.

He continually calls me at work, making me physically sick. On 3/4/05, I called him to try to make arrangements again, he was horrid, undescribably so!

My co-workers were present. I asked him why he was so incredibly mean to me, he replied I just don't like you, there's something about you that annoys me, he called me a weasel and a liar, because I didn't get back to him soon enough.

He added another $2,000 to the amount due. I've never received a break down of the numbers, even after his phone contact with me. I told him he was making me physically ill with his behavior, he loudly overtalked me with his threats, never letting me get a word in. After threatening me, he slammed the phone down.

I was so shaken, that I called my daughter, who told me not ot talk to him anymore, and called him herself, he ridculed me to her, and acted in the same obnoxious manner with her.
