This workout program seems unable to accommodate the needs of anyone who is not already in great shape. Their trainers seem to have very little experience helping older adults get back into shape. When I complained to the owner about my problems with some of the moves her trainers asked me to do she defended them saying "no one has complained before."

I pointed out that many consumers never complain when they are faced with difficulties. They walk away and don't bother.

This company takes your cash and then requires you to finish your course of classes within a certain time frame. If you get injured, as I did, there are no refunds and you cannot take time off to heal before going back to the workout.

I paid for 10 classes and got 3. I couldn't go back due to a pulled muscle PLUS the attitude of the young trainer was condescending. She seemed to find my overweight body and attempts at gaining strength mildly amusing.

When I complained to the owner about not being able to use all my classes she suggested I drive to her class, which is far from me and would mean I'd have to drive through rush-hour traffic, and workout with her. She had no suggestions for either of her trainers about how to work with older people. She told me, in short, that they were all fine and I was the problem.

How am I supposed to get stronger when the fitness coaches look down on me and see me as a problem and not a student?

I'm writing this complaint so that others will be warned. It's a good workout if you are already in great shape but they won't help you if you're older and heavy.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Crunch

AUTHOR: Roger - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, December 26, 2009

When I first read your report, I thought it was about Crunch Bootcamp - and by Crunch I meant the gym in West Hollywood. I was well wrong, once I brought up the website that you supplied.

I work for Crunch in San Francisco (not the same company you are reporting), and we offer Bootcamp classes on Saturdays at 10AM. Im not sure if the one in Hollywood does, but if they do, it should be FREE, and even if you are not a member you can come and check it out. Its weekly, and you can bring friends, and at Crunch, NO ONE pushes you more then you can do, no one judges you, and no one cares how much you weigh or how out of shape you are...The trainers only care that you have a goal, and want to meet it, and they care about helping you meet that goal, and care about creating a routine for you that works for you and your body to meet that goal.

So, check it out... I mean, if you are paying for the same thing, and want to try something thats FREE, why not?

I am not a representative that can speak for the company I work for, or advertise its services, but I am speaking as a consumer that sees many people going to these classes and are pretty happy with them, and as such offer a suggestion of the alternative to your existing routine you might have.
