Motel 6 Accor Hotels Doesn't Care When They Injure A Guest - the business that doesn't give a d**n Houston Texas

While staying at the Motel 6 Hobby Airport, my 20 year old daughter went to the office to get some ice about 10:00 PM. It was dark and the lights on the side of the motel were not working as they often do not. Someone had attempted to throw away what appeared to be part of a quart of unused motor oil and missed the trash can, causing the oil to run across the concrete sidewalk. My daughter could not see the oil and she slipped and fell and severally injured her back. She was bed ridden for about 2 weeks as well as ran up about 5,000.00 in medical bills, i.e.: MRI, Xray, doctor visits, medications, and additional ER visits when the pain was to great at night to live with.

I informed the manager "Curtis" whom only took a slight interest in the incident. He informed me that it was not his fault or the fault of his staff that she fell. It was the fault of a guest and f we could figure out what one did it, we could figure out the one who needed to pay her medical bills. The spill remained untouched and 1 month after the accident, there is still a slight oil slick outside of the can.

At one point Curtis did ask me to throw some kitty litter on the spill. I have cats and I guess he felt that since my daughter found the spill it was my duty to throw our cat litter on it. We have lived here for almost 3 months to the tune of 1000.00 a month. I feel that they could have handled this situation a little better. We are moving out of here tomorrow as there are other places in Houston to live in a pinch.
