Let me start by saying that another Motor Meister fraud victim and myself are trying to lead the charge in a class action law suit against Motor Meister. We know they have 100+ victims
so please please please file a complaint with the California BBB (Better Business Bureau) BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) and AG (Attorney General) or contact me at (((redacted))). The more complaints on file and victims willing to hop on board, the better chance for all of us to get some resolution.
Now my story..........I have a 7 year nightmare with this motor rebuild company Motor Meister. I sent them 3 Porsche 911 cars 7 years ago to have the motors rebuilt, going off their magazine and website ads claiming a full motor rebuild for $6500.- in 8-12 weeks. What they do not tell you ahead of time is this does not include parts.
So they get the cars there, pull the motors, completely tear them apart and then fax a list of all the damaged parts and other engine parts you will need to complete the motor in which case all estimates doubled to $13,000.!!!! I even had to purchase an extra 2 motors from a salvage yard to get enough good parts to complete the job to keep the price from being higher.
Then when the motor is complete they tell you all other parts that need to be replaced before the motor goes into the car like airbox, fuel pump, alternator and on and on and that is how the price goes up and up. I have a phonebook size stack of fax estimates from them, 100's of e-mails, false promises of completion dates and most recently they will not reply to my e-mails or phone calls.
At one point a few years ago, we had paid them $20,000.- to date and they wanted more money and tried to lein sale the cars to force payment, which forced us to nearly pay them in full $32,000.- We did get 1 of the 3 cars then and it has been in the shop 3 times now for problems and is the worst running and slowest 911 I have ever owned.
As for the remaining 2 cars, they still have them with no end in site. I need help, please, and I am not the only one at all you can check the link below on a Porsche forum site Pelican parts where you will read horror story after story of people who had the same issue. I have a lot of documents and will provide whatever you need,
