The company does pop ups and then my 16 year old who says he didn't and reading other people scam list on them is they say you did. Nnumber one he is 16, my husband doesn't use the computer and I wouldn't chose them. If they were a legitimate company why don't they have a phone number or email you have no way to get a hold of them. I read other people who have been ripped off too. Please help. This is a harrassment and they need to be taken out of the computer network. Thank you

Mary...NOT a "company" ...certainly not getting rich!...

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

Mary,

This is a small time scam by some idiot operating from home.

They are NOt a company or a legal business entity of any kind.

They do not have a business license.
They do not have a physical address.
They do not have a listed BUSINESS phone#.

They are not a Corp, LLC, or any other legal business entity.

They operate in the shadows and insist on remaining invisible.

You can't rip people off if they know how to actually get a hold of you!

The PHYSICAL address they offer is a private mailbox at a POSTAL express store!

Keep up the good work "Legal". Your posts are amusing at best.

AND, I checked all court cases filed in CA. Movieland has never sued anyone. That is the beauty of public records and a PI background.

Legal? Movieland does not even have contact info! A great way to con someone out of money!

Movieland is just a scare tatic! A great way to con someone out of money! For one they don't even have any contact info on their popups. Then you go to their FAQ's and they all say the same thing that you are legally bound to pay for their product! I find it interesting as I was helping my friend with her computer to try and rid it of this garbage and guess what low and behold it was no where to be found! I looked at every file etc. but it has to be somewhere because it continued to pop up! We finally ridded the computer of it after heavy duty spyware! That's all movieland is Spyware and it is making someone rich by scaring the hell out of people into making them think they owe Movieland something! I think everyone should ban together and file a lawsuit against these monsters. I have never ran into a company where you download software and are unable to take it off your computer. Okay Movieland try and us collection proceedings against all the people who have downloaded your software. Make our Day! And we will make yours! Scumbags!
