Moving Staffers, Inc. charged $1,606.67 for 3 hours of horrible packing and loading during our move Wichita Falls Texas

We unfortunately had Moving Staffers, Inc. select a crew to move my wife's office belongings on August 15, 2015. They showed up four hours late, and two of their "work crew" were children. They were going to pack and load my wife's office and our apartment.  The work crew group leader did not apologize for showing up four hours late.

We told Moving Staffers that we were going to have volunteers pack and load the moving truck earlier on the 15th of August. The volunteers did a great job, and they finished their part before Moving Staffers showed up late.

Moving Staffers charges by the foot instead of the hour. The group leader and I drove one mile so he could see the moving truck. He told me that he wanted to unload all the items that were in the moving truck from the volunteers because they were put in "dangerously". That wasn't the case at all, and he would have been paid for any item that he loaded or reloaded.

We called the emergency number at Moving Staffers and told them that this crew would not be allowed to touch any boxes that were already in the truck from the volunteers, and that they lost the job in packing and loading our apartment items. This would have been an ten hour job for them.  We were stuck with them for my wife's office.

The group leader was angry. His crew brought the items from my wife's office and loaded the truck in silence even though I was there. Then, he had me inspect what they did, and stated that they did 7 feet of work. He told me that he was getting paid in full even though I told him he lost the apartment job. Then, he traveled to my wife's office and had her sign a form stating that he did 8 feet of work. I measured the work, and it was 7 feet of work in the middle of the truck and 5.5 feet of work on the sides insides of the truck. In addition, the 28 boxes that they put in the truck were only 3/4 full at most with no padding. This added to their total footage, and they didn't even finish cleaning my wife's office. Some of her items were thrown out by maintenance because she had a deadline of 6:00 p.m. to clean the office in full. 

They worked for three hours and charged us $1606. This group leader is dishonest, and they should not be allowed to work anywhere. He had my wife sign the form even though he didn't have her inspect anything. I inspected everything and he wouldn't let me sign the form.

Moving Staffers, Inc. did absolutely nothing when I complained how the group leader of this crew lied to my wife about how much footage he claimed they put in the truck.  This work crew leader is dishonest.  We even provided pictures and had a witness of how much footage they really put in the truck.  While first class moving companies charge by the hour, Moving Staffers charges by the foot and how many boxes they purchase.  This way of doing business can easily be manipulated by a dishonest work crew.  I recommend to all not to select Moving Staffers, Inc. for your move.  Plus, the parent company told me that they couldn't discriminate against the work crew even though two of the workers were underaged children.  They put us in a "take it or leave it" situation.
