I am the owner of a mid sized moving company that relocated roughly 150 people per month and am a victim of movingscam.com. They represent themselves as consumer advocates and are to an extent. They do provide good information on many poor and disgusting moving companies yet they take a big stab at honest moving companies and only support companies that pay them referal fees. They have already lost a lawsuit brought against them by nationwide relocation and have had to remove any negative reviews about them.

A copy of the original lawsuit can be found at movingscamscam.com I am really upset due to the fact that they do not report any positive feedback on moving companies that are left by clients. I have had a dozen previous clients post positive reviews on our firm and not a single one has lasted over a week before being removed by the moderator. What kind of a neutral site does that?

I already know that they operate similar to a lead source and utilize scare tactics to get people to get quotes from their "preffered movers" I mean how can their only be 10 or 15 "preffered movers" out of the tens of thousands of moving companies nationwide??

They are in the process of having a large scale lawsuit on their hands and when Mr. Walkers financial resources run dry, unfortunately there will be no more movingscam.com so Sharon can call me if she is in need of employment.

MovingScam.com is an Unaccredited Online Reporting Websites- what to do about it

AUTHOR: Mc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 15, 2009

Online consumer reporting websites are a necessity for everyone; it helps keep businesses and individuals informed of potential fraudulent and potentially hazardous transactions. Disguised as a completely reliable, honest, and well intentioned source of information, online consumer reporting websites often go unmonitored. What was once a method of consumer advocacy has turned into a method of libel and slander for those with personal heated vendettas. No one has     determine the validity of the claims posted, and their responsibility to the falsely accused.
The following list of reporting websites are those that have failed the investigative accreditation process.

MovingScam.com is an Unaccredited Online Reporting Websites
There are many criminals and business rivals reporting fake complaints Moving Scam about their business competitors and rivals for the purpose of threatening and damaging competitors good will. Many companies are suffering from fake reports published at Moving Scam   by their rivals and competition
They DO NOT   check the following characteristics of each online reporting website:
They DO NOT   have Full Background Investigation
They do not contact the companies in question to invistigate   the validity of any of the claims
Most of their claims are personal deformation of character of a business owner and have no bearing on the actual transportation service or the owners   scope of business

They DO NOT   initiate Owner Criminal/Social Background Research
They DO NOT   perform Past/Pending Lawsuits Review
         DO NOT perform Reporting Verification
OR Fraudulent Reporting Verification /Cross Referencing Verification
THIS IS AN OPEN FOUM that utilizes the freedom of speech FOR CHERECTER DEFERMATION, SLANDER, AND FICTITOUS UNFOUNDED CLAIMS against
Here is what you can do... Don't sit around and do nothing! Take action against websites that don't have a checks and balances system in place. Websites that defame, post libelous comments, and other 'negative' reporting websites should be held responsible!
Contact Google Inc. Request removal of websites likemovingscam.com for violation of their T.O.S.
What transform this site from a consumer advocacy site to a menace (allegedly) are its aggressive violations of Googles terms of service to increase its rankings, and concomitant demands for exorbitant fees to write a few rebuttal posts. It is not the defamatory nature of the posts that are the problem. After all, those are all over the web and probably always will be. The problem here is the apparent intent to damage a person or businesss reputation without regard to the truth of the matter, only to re-victimize the person or business by charging them exorbitant fees. The legal theories have come a long way. A lot of cases are in aggressive investigation phases right now. Im hoping that some plaintiff out there will take this case all the way so that the public can finally have full access to the evidence and testimony necessary to make a fair decision. If the allegations against movingscam.com are true, I believe the RICO Act is the best method for holding movingscam.com accountable.

No - They Didn't Lose the Lawsuit

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 08, 2008

As Sharon has posted elsewhere, the lawsuit was settled and it cost Nationwide $100,000 in legal fees. They don't put that on that other website because if they did, they would know movingscam is a legit website. They settled because they couldn't win. I guarantee you those are profits Nationwide can never get back and their business will not increase as a result of the removal of the information on the website. That was $100,000 out of a scammer's pocket and I like that.

If you feel like you were wronged, you should take it up with movingscam. As the owner of Rip Off Report states - " the answer to free speech is not the suspension of it, but to increase free speech." You have a free opportunity to make the situation right - either with the customer or the website. If you proceed with the lawsuit and lose (which you will because of the precedents out there regarding internet free speech rights and why the settlement was reached), you'll wonder why you decided to go through with it, when there was a much better option simply by refuting what was said and/or deciding to satisfy the customer.

YOU POOR THING

AUTHOR: Boohoooo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 06, 2008

Listen- I dont have anything to do with either website, but what makes you think that a website is obligated to post anything about your company? The AMSA puts itself out as "helping consumers" yet they only provide information on movers who pay them annual dues. Can you explain to me the difference? Unless I'm in a business relationship or have personal knowledge of something, Im not obligated to another party to do anything for them at all. Got it? Welcome to the business world. Clearly alot of moving company owners that are complaining have a distorted view of how the working world operates outside of their storage facilities. Think about it for a moment and you'll realize how ridiculous you sound.
