Mr. Joe Sullivan talked and explained to me on the phone that I can lease-to-own a credit card terminal for $49.99 per month for two months. Then he fax me a dozen papers to sign up for the lease from Lease Finance Group, a division of CIT. It turned out the lease was a non-cancellable, and the term in the lease was $49.99 per month for FOUR years, not lease-to-own as stated by Mr. Sullivan.
If I knew it was for four years, I would never sign up for it. I could have signed up the one offerred by COSTCO for much better deal. I put my trust in Mr. Sullivan and did not review the paper careful before signing. Even it's my faults, I believe Mr Sullivan was dishonest and tried to trick me into getting a lease that only benifit him and the company Lease Finance Group, a division of CIT.

If this is not a ripoff or cheap trick, then what else. It's like signing up a broad band ISP service with an unlimited download contract. Then the ISP starts throttling or capping your connections based on their policy that was not even stated in the contract. Don't believe it? Do a search on Google to see how many people being ripoff by this trick.

Why did you sign the papers?

Regardless of what he may have said to you over the phone, no oral representations can overrule a written contract. You said yourself that the paperwork stated the lease was a 4 year non cancellable lease BEFORE you signed the papers so you have nothing to complain about. By signing the lease, YOU AGREEd to those terms.. You were not ripped off at all.
