Mr. Transistor Fixed TV WITHOUT my authorization and charge me a $50 pickup fee and $50 deposit and then expected me to pay $264.84 for it when I just requested a quote! Auburn, Alabama

Called company on Monday, November 30, 2009 to inquire about them fixing my television. I asked them if they could give me a quote BEFORE going ahead to repair the television and they said that they could and would do that and would contact me on Tuesday morning, December 1, 2009 to give me a quote for how much the repairs would cost BEFORE moving forward. They also asked me for my credit card information for a $50 charge to come and pick up television and another $50 charge for a deposit.

I stated to them on the phone and when they came and picked up my television that I would like a quote first to make sure that I could afford it and would be able to pay for it and that I did NOT want them to start working on it until I knew approximately how much it would cost, due to being on a fixed income. They said that they understood and that it would be no problem and that they would call me with a quote on Tuesday morning, December 1, 2009 of which they NEVER did call me that morning.

They did NOT ever call me with a quote at any given time that morning until someone by the name of Robert then called me at 5:05 p.m. that afternoon on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 to tell me that my television had been repaired and it would cost me a total of $264.84 and to come and pick it up and pay for it.

I told them that I was expected a phone call earlier that morning for a quote NOT for them to call me and tell me it had been repaired WITHOUT giving me a quote FIRST! Robert then told me that no one had put on the work order that they were to call me with a quote! This, I feel is a major miscommunication on THEIR part!

I told them that I couldn't afford to pay for the repairs and that I was on a fixed income and this is why I needed a quote first and that they said that they would call me with a quote! I asked them what I was to do. All they could say is that it wasn't written on the work order to call me with a quote! They said that they COULD and WOULD sell my television to recover the cost of the repairs to fix my television! I told them that I do NOT want them to sell my television and I certainly do NOT want them selling my television, as I feel that is MY personal property, NOT theirs!

So, now, I am NOT only out of $100, but I am also out of a television that was $800 when first purchased!

They do NOT answer their telephone and all you ever get when you try to call them is their voice mail and then when you do leave a message, they don't even bother to return your phone calls!

I would like to get my television back and would like to make some type of payment arrangement with them to get my television back!

Therefore, anyone in the Auburn/Opelika, AL area looking to get your television repaired and/or serviced, I would NOT recommend this company! Steer clear of this company or you will be forever sorry, as they will rip you off in a heartbeat and take your money AND sell your television or appliance!
