I had taken my Jeep to Doug Mullins and after being charged (overcharged) he had put deep scratches in my reaer bumper by pushing it with his tractor. He admitted to this and said "he uses an aluminum guard". Well I think any decent mechanic would know 2 tons of metal (even aluminum) pushing 1.5 tons of vehicle is going to do damage. Thats the way they do it and no one has complained before "they both said". He gave me two options. He would buy a bumper or take that one off and repaint it for me. I will never let a ripp off mechanic do body work on my vehicle and I think it's sad that you can not trust hardly anyone these days. Be carfull if you consider these people. They charge dealership prices for labor and add money onto Autozone parts and make money off that to. Ripp-Off Artist in the Auto field. See pictures.

Jeep owner

AUTHOR: Pat - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 14, 2010

I have been doing business with Mullins Repair for 13 years and have the highest regard for his integrity and honesty.  He has always detailed the problems and solutions that he finds before he does the work and the work is ALWAYS guarenteed.  I believe the Jeep owner is neglecting  the FULL details of his encounter.  I have never known these people to be less than honest and sincere.  This is their livleyhood and this person for whatever reason is not giving the whole truth.  There must have been a reason for this vehicle to be pushed.  Did Mr Mullins fix or replace the bumper...this person does not say.

Mullins Repair does NOT charge Dealer prices...maybe he should have checked with a Dealer for the same repairs.  If I thought I had been "ripped off" I would not hide on the Internet where you have to guess if this is the whole truth and nothing but the truth.  I would go back to Mr Mullins and make sure he makes good on the offer of a new or repaired bumper.

Damage to Vehicle by Mullins Repair Service's

AUTHOR: Jay - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, January 14, 2010
I had taken my Jeep to Doug Mullins at Mullins Repair and Service's only to be charged dealership prices and markups on the parts he installed that were from Autozone. But the biggest part of my complaint is the fact that he pushed my Jeep with a tractor with an aluminum guard and put deep scratches in my bumper. It's not anygood now, as you can not repair deep scratches affordably in a steel bumper. He gave me two options after admitting he may have done the damage, neither acceptable because I take the loss on both options. So I would just say be carefull before using this company. He is a good mechanic but over charges for parts and not very carefull around vehicles, as in pushing them with a tractor.
