Mungo Damages Property, Refuses Responsibility Headquarters in Damaged our Mailbox, Lied about fixing it, Hung up on us, Refused responsibility, Dishonest about locating witnesses Irmo South Carolina

I am sending you a copy of the info below so that you know the treatment my husband and I (as well as four of our neighbors) have received from Mungo, Adam Speiran, and Dan Rosati.  

 

Mungo Homes of North Carolina is constructing a house next door to ours. For the past couple of months, our yard has been trashed (literally) from their various work crews, they've been caught using our water and hoses for various tasks on the new house, and yesterday, we came home from our honeymoon to find that our mailbox had been demolished. Large pallets of bermuda sod were sitting about 15 feet away and after speaking with our neighbors as well as one of the construction managers, we learned that our mailbox was in tact in the morning and then demolished in the afternoon. One neighbor witnessed the forklift unloading the pallets and noted that the forklift was moving between our mailbox, in front of our driveway and in our driveway (we have pictures of its tire marks, in addition to our damaged box and proximity of the sod pallets). This neighbor, as well as the construction manager, Patrick Choate, both stated that when the sod was being delivered our mailbox was fine and after the pallets were placed and the truck/forklift were gone, our mailbox was on the ground and the pole destroyed. 

 

Patrick, as well as Pam Rable, who works in the sales office, and also Dawn Griner, all stated to my husband and I that the situation would be taken care of and our mailbox would be replaced (as will the one on the lot they're building on, which was also damaged - please note it also had sod pallets very near it) 

 

However, this afternoon, we received an email from the VP of Production for Mungo Homes of North Carolina, Adam Speiran, who said they will not be taking responsibility for our mailbox because anyone could have hit it and there are no witnesses to the actual hitting of the box (doesn't seem to matter AT ALL that two neighbors as well as Patrick attested to knowing when the box was up and then when it was down). Adam also stated that they had not located any witnesses. Well, the reason for that is that they did not talk with our neighbors. We do have proof that neither USPS, FedEx nor UPS made deliveries to our house yesterday. 

 

We are the fifth family in our neighborhood (that we know of) who has serious issues with Mungo damaging their properties and refusing to take responsibility for their actions. We are the third family (again, that we know of) who has had "run-ins" with Dan - he actually hung up on my husband on Tuesday 9/29/15 when my husband was asking about the mailbox. 

 

We really need some help here.
