Today at 134pm I ordered address labels online for $9.45. Later in the day I wanted to check my bank balance. Much to my horror,
at 135pm, I had another withdrawal made from my checking account for $96.00. The company was MWI Connections with a CT. 800#.

I make purchases online very frequently. I spent the entire evening haunted by this mystery and why something about it sounded familiar. I went back over email confirmations for all orders I had placed in the last 6 weeks. When I got to an order I made through SkyMall (the airlines put this fun catalog in your seat pocket) something clicked.

I placed a $70 order for two shower heads at $35 each on Sept.3 (One never arrived - but that's not my immediate concern). I was told that they were having a special phone promotion for first time orders - which would be 10% off plus a $25 rebate to come in the form of a certificate mailed to me separately.

In my email from SkyMall my order confirmation stated:
2 shower heads at $70.00 Item #98979 to arrive approx Sept.15
and below that:
Connections $25.00 Item # MemberAO3Y to arrive approx Oct.08

If the "Connections" referred to in my SkyMall catalog order is this MWI Connections, I guarantee you that catalog will disappear from about 20,000 airplanes - and I will be filing a class action lawsuit on behalf on anyone that has ever placed an order from SkyMall and possibly include all US airlines as co-defendents.

Watch for more info on this - and if anyone else can confirm that this fraudulent activity followed a catalog order, I would love to hear from you.
