Mwi Connections ripoff May have lied to my credit card company Internet

I have been receiving a $12.95 charge on my Visa United Plus credit card since April of 2003. Mwi Connections was the company listed. At first I thought the charges were something I had bought on the internet. Then, sadly, I forgot about it until now. I canceled my contract by phone. Then I called my credit card company. They have some kind of deal with them. The person I was talking to contacted Mwi Connections and they told her I accepted their offer on a phone call, and they have a phone recording to prove it. I have no recollection of any such phone call. Do you think they are telling the truth or are they just making sure they don't have to repay me for the false charges?
