MWI Homeworks Plus ripoff dishonest billing This is BS how can they get away with this? Connecticut

I received several suspicious deductions on my debit card with the title of MWI*Homeworks Plus. I found a phone number on this company and called up to put an end to these charges and find out who authorized them.

Once I got through several different phone prompts I spoke to a live person. Then immediately went into some song and dance about this membership and how I could save money on kitchen cabinets ECT.

I asked how I got enrolled in this membership. They told me I bought something from an infomercial and it was an option when I bought this item. So I asked what the item was and they had no idea. Then when I told them to stop billing me they started to read a script like response with a lot of fast talking and hidden messages.

I stuck to my guns and demanded they stop billing me immediately. They finally agreed after some time of going in circles. Then I told them they also need to credit me for the charges they made with out my permission. They didn't even respond they tried to end the call. I stayed on the line and then after I repeated my self several times they said they would refund my money. This is BullSh* how can they get away with this? If there are any class action suits for NY I would love to know! Thanks
