MWI Homeworks Plus ripoff fraudulent ripoff business mistreated and ripped off Internet

MWI Homeworks Plus charged our checking account without our permission in the amount of $139.95! I had never even heard of this company. When we got our bank statement, it had their name and tel # , so my husband called. The man was very rude to my husband and kept demanding he spell our last name (which is a very common name!!!)

Once he was able to pull up the name, he insisted we had signed up for this internet access. He demanded to talk to me, and would not let my husband speak. I got on the phone and he was rude. I told him we shouldn't be billed for something we didn't sign up for. He pretty much called me a liar, and said that how could they get my information and charge my account without me signing up online.

I told him I had never even heard of this company. He then accused me of receiving a Lowe's $25.00 gift card for signing up, so I must have signed up. I've never received a card, and I told him this. Then I told him I was currently online, and was viewing other people who have reported them because they too were ripped off by this company.

He then said he would cancel my order and credit our checking acct. for the full amt, and said to tell my husband,whom he could hear in the background that he was doing this. I told him "Thank you", but before I could finish speaking he had already hung up on me! (This whole time, there was an echo in the background-we could tell we were on speaker phone, my husband asked if we were, and he said no-he didn't know what the problem was. (That is totally against our privacy).
Anyway, he did give me his name and ID#, which was Kingsley, and ID# 16322.

I hope nobody ever gets scammed by this company again!!
