My Choice Medical RIPOFFS or GOODGUYS Stroudsburg Pennsylvania

I contacted my choice medical appx a year and a half ago. They requested an application fee which I paid. They set me up w/a surgical consultation w/a doctor in Charlotte NC. I wanted a tummy tuck. The doctor seemed very interested in me and the nursing staff is excellent. The doctor stated the tummy would be a 75 to 80 percent improvment, I was thrilled. I then spoke w/the finanical advisor, she explained due to my credit I would have to pay half up front over $3,500.00 which I did.

I went to my first scheduled surgery and the doctor stated he could not perform the tummy tuck due to my iron level 11.7. The doctor stated it should have been at least 12. I had been taking iron pills because I suffer w/low iron. I continued to take the iron pills went to my family doctor got medical clearance that I was okay to have the surgery. I rescheduled again and again the doctor refused, due to my iron level of 10.7. The doctor told me to see a specialist, which I did. I met with a specialist at the onocology unit at a Medical Center in NC. After all my testing he reassured me that I was fine and was willing to explain it to the doctor.

I rescheduled again w/the same results the doctor refused. I went back to my family doctor and was put on stronger iron pills and my iron level is 12. I fax the report to the Doctors office. The representative at the doctors office called me and states they are no longer dealing w/my choice medical and I should call them to get my money back. I called MCM and they stated they needed a letter from the doctor stating that they refused to due the surgery, which the doctor faxed to MCM. A representative from MCM called me back confirmed my mailing address and stated I would receive a full refund less the 49.00 deposit fee, this was 12 days ago. I have not received a check yet but the MCM representative stated it could take thirty days. I will keep you posted. I will say thus far I haven't had any trouble w/MCM, they returned my call ASAP, they even called back to confirm my mailing address. After reading the messages on this site I must admit I am worried MCM will not honor their word. As previously stated I will keep you posted. Thanks so much for making me aware.
