The Sad Truth

AUTHOR: Daniel - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 02, 2009

The sad truth is they didn't actually rip you off. Not in the sense that they did anything illegal. I actually just got the same thing in the mail a few minutes ago and decided to look it up after reading all the fine print on the letter.

The fee's they charged you and the process you had to go through was all explained in the letter. They charge you an $79 processing fee (kind of like a phone company charging you a $35 phone activation fee when all they really do is call a number and press 3 buttons) and a 120 activation fee. The $99 fee is the minimum monthly payment amount and I'm not sure of the date they charged this too you or how soon after you started the process that they did. But if you don't pay by the monthly date it is set up to auto-process the fee from your bank which you gave them permission to do by signing up for the card.

When you get things like this in the future you need to read all the fine print. If it's too good to be true then shred it.
