My State Processing David Young Seemingly duped and no contact since November 2011 Las Vegas, Nevada

I met David Young in June 2011 and paid him 2500 dollars to modify my home loan as I was "preapproved". Almost a year later and David Young has not followed through and now is no where to be found. Initially I was in e mail and telephonic communicaion on a regular basis. However, as time went on, there was less and less returned e mails and phone calls. In November 2011, I informed him that I would be stopping by his office tyo discuss this matter and it was then that I received some e mail correspondnace and Mr. Young assured me that he was working on my case and would refund my money if things did not go through as he projected. This was the last time I heard from him. I have called and e mailed with no response. Today, May 21, 2012, after being fed up with being ignored, I attempted to call again to find that his number has been disconnected. I contacted a friend who provided me with his informatrion to begin with and she stated that she has not spoken to him recently. She did say that another "client" of his frequents her place of employment and has been in contact with him. This friend of a friend stated that he had been MIA for some time but that he contacted her and stated that things are still proceeding with her case. She suggested that I google him for more recent contact information. I did and stumbled upong this website and read the comments posted her. I am sick to my stomach thinking I have fallen victim to this scam. At this point, it has been a year waiting and due to my curent situation and things seeming as if my home will not be refinanced, I will be forced to short sale my first home. I am asking if anyone has current contact information for David Young and what should I do to proceed with getting my 2500 back.
