My Vision Works Ronnie Boggess Unpublished book Southfield Michigan

I went to My Vision Works Publishing on March 30, 2015, to start my dream of publishing a yoga and juice book. Ronnie Jones Boggess and her assistant at the time, Darwin Griffin, made me feel like their publishing company was the place to be. Well, Ronnie fired Darwin in July and things went down hill. Fast forward...from the month of October to the month of December, she was too occupied with family issues to give me her full professional attention. My second proof had a lot of things that were on my electronic checklist that wasn't changed. I am not pleased at all with the level of competence.

I paid her $2,869 dollars for what?! The gray matter that she said she corrected was still present on several pages. There are obvious things that I asked to be changed and the exact opposite was done. Had I not ordered another proof these mistakes would have gone unnoticed. We both had issues with our computers, which really held us up, but the back and forth could have been eliminated if the level of know how was there. I didn't know what to do and I was looking to her, the publisher being in this business for a five years, to figure it out.

Now because of the level of competence I have to spend more money to get my book done professionally. I asked her to reimburse 50% of my cost back.

She stated that she couldn't because of the hours that was put into my project and that she did deliver the services that were promised.I told her that she knows in your heart that my book and the service that was provided to me was unsatisfactory. She even stated that after really looking at my proof she too was displeased. As my publisher she should have seen this level of work before giving it to me.

I worked really hard to pay her on time and I expected my book to match that exchange of energy. This book is my baby, my brand, and my product to help as many people as I can. Now, because of the broken professional trust, I have to start all over.
