Mychangeaddress.com is a ripoff! They charge $6.99 to change your address when the USPS does it online for $1.00.

I moved recently and did a Google search for "USPS change address". The first thing that came up looked like it was the best way to change my address with the USPS, but it was a paid Google AD for mychangeaddress.com.

Anyway, I clicked on it and went through the process, and they charged me $6.99. I was in a hurry, so I did it. It has now been 15 days, and I have not received any forwarded mail! They have not responded to my email request to let me know what is going on.

To avoid making the mistake I did, if you want to change your USPS address online, make sure you go to the official USPS site, and NOT to mychangeaddress.com

Concur: It's a Ripoff

AUTHOR: Jshaw - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 03, 2012

Can anyone say 20/20 or 60 minutes??? Your business is absolutely a ripoff. Unsuspecting consumers assume when they conduct a google search that they will recieve the 'correct' website, i.e., USPS. But you are paying off google to have your website listed first. Your business is deceptive! You should and will be reported!

Still a ripoff

AUTHOR: kl - (United States of America)

Just because they own up to not being a part of the USPS does not mean it is not a scam.  They still charge 7 times more than the USPS, fail at submitting the change of address (for me as well as apparently many other people), and really don't offer anything more than the USPS, despite what the employee above claims.  DO NOT USE.

Mychangeaddress Is Not A Ripoff

AUTHOR: VeroMark - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, September 08, 2011

The website clearly states in the first paragraph, "For just $6.99, we will save you some hassle and offer you assistance not available from the USPS to help you get the services you need plus give you a FREE E-Book on how to lower your energy costs complete with hundreds of dollars of money saving offers and coupons available exclusively from MyChangeAddress. And, if you sign up for any service you need, we will file your request absolutely free of charge."
