MyiProducts automatic charges to phone bill for service I did not authorize Forest Lake Minnesota

I noticed a charge on my AT&T phone bill of $14.95 for a voicemail product. I called the number provided, and the person at MyiProducts.com said that I filled out a form online to sign up for this service. She also said that the company emailed me on 1/15/08. Neither is true. I never signed up for this service, and I did not receive email from myiproducts.com - I searched my inbox. MyiProducts.com cancelled the service, but would not issue a credit. I asked how I would have signed up for this, and she said by clicking a link on another website, perhaps for recipes or rebates. I said that I did not do this, and she said that she traced the IP address to my city. I asked her to send my evidence of authorization. She said she would send the initial authorization form and would forward me the initial email communication they allegedly sent me. She forwarded on a pdf of the so-called authorization form, and I was unable to open it because it was damaged. I called back and requested it again, and again the attachment would not open. They never forwarded the email communications. The documentation could not be forwarded because it does not exist!

I called AT&T, and they reported a claim and removed the charge. I am satisfied that I do not have to pay for this, but I am upset that I had to waste valuable time on this, and because this is a deceptive company that should not be allowed to continue this practice. I am sure that there are numerous victims that do not monitor their bills and will unknowingly pay the charge. I was lucky to notice the extra amount right away.
