  • Mymp3down.com Nationwide U.S.A.

Mymp3down.com put three charges at three different dates on my credit card that I did not authorize. I may have visited a web site of theirs, I don't remeber, but I certainly didn't authorize any charges. Nationwide

The first I knew of these charges is that they appeared on my bank statement. The first one, dated 1-21-07 for 67.19; the second one, dated 1-26-07 for 78.72; and the third one, dated 1-26-07 also. I did not authorize any of these charges.

In trying to contact them, I managed to pull up a notification screen that listed no phone numbers, and no e-mail address. Supposedly, though, I could fill out a form on the screen and e-mail them which I did, and they acknowledged with a response and said that I could expect to hear back from them in four hours. I doubt if I ever will.

In the e-mmail, I informed them that I didn't authorize the charges and that I wanted my money refunded to my credit card account. If I accidently clicked on something I shouldn't have, that is one thing. But, to have no means of contacting them by phone to, if I want to refuse their product and get my money back, is unconsionable. It is most definately not the way to do business.

(1>CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.
