This company charges outlandish fees for EVERYTHING. $35 late fee. $15.95 to make a payment over the phone. $5.95 to make a payment over the internet. If you send a payment through the mail, they take over 2 weeks to credit it to your account - even if you only live 6 hours away from the payment processing center - meaning they probably receive your mailed payment within 2 days, but take 2 weeks to credit it to your account - usually causing a late charge to be assessed, and your phone to ring off the hook with calls from their offshore call center, demanding payment and saying "we're just trying to help you because your account is past due". (The account wouldn't be past due if they would process their payments on time!)
Their call center is located in another country - every single employee you talk to will use an "Americanized" name - Phil Thomas, Paul Johnson, Francis Smith - they are TAUGHT TO DO THIS BY THEIR SUPERVISORS DURING TRAINING. They apparently aren't training their employees well enough - they don't know the difference between the terms "credit counseling" or "bankruptcy", either. A recent discussion about Chapter 7 Bankruptcy with one of their employees turned into an argument about why they couldn't continue to demand payment from a consumer when they were filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy - they said "yes we can, your plan will only pay the future bill, not the past due". Only after they spoke with a "supervisor" did they suddenly back off - but they put me on hold twice so they could answer other calls while they took my attorney's information.
I can see this company getting themselves into legal hot water very soon. At least I hope so - they're ripping off consumers left and right, and are part of the large movement of companies using offshore call centers that continue to tick off the American people!

The collections dept is in America. I know I work there. Customer Service on the other hand is off shore. I have problems with them while transferring customers.
