After doing a search on the internet about this company, I have discovered that hundreds of us were taken by myshoestore.com this Christmas season. Their website is still active, and their web hosting company, Port City Web in Greenland, NH, still designs and promotes this site.

I order two pairs of shoes on Dec. 16. I was immediately billed. I was sent email confirming the items were in stock and my order was being immediately processed. After not receiving the shoes for two weeks (I live 50 miles from the store), I called and finally got through to someone handling customer service. (A young woman with a HUGE attitude.) I was told the shoes are never in stock, but come from the manufacturer. I was stunned to find out they charged me for shoes not in stock, and they had no idea when the shoes would be sent.

I immediately canceled my order. That was two weeks. ago. No refund was given. Now the company no longer answers their phone. I tried to call this morning, but only received a recording telling me that my call is important.

I did a search on the web for My Shoe Store, Inc., and myshoestore.com, only to discover that hundreds of people are out money. When I called the hosting company to say this very nice, slick site is defrauding many people from around the country, they attacked me and hung up on me. I can only assume the hosting company supports the activities of myshoestore.com.

So, I'm out almost $200. Working with the Credit Card Company to get it off my bill. WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MYSHOESTORE.COM or PORTCITYWEB.COM.

Anyone who has done business on Ebay knows that any seller or store who has several complaints lodged against them for fraudulent activity - ***like taking money and not shipping items*** - is permanently removed from the site.

You can notify the New Hampshire Better Business Bureau with a complaint. They have hundreds of complaints on file regarding the activity of Myshoestore.com.

Karen is out of line

While we at Port City certainly feel for Karen King and her issues with her last minute Christmas order with My Shoe Store, she is out of line to drag other companies into her battle. The company that My Shoe Store hosts their website with has hundreds of web hosting customers, like many other web hosting companies. Karen called the web hosting company and demanded that they turn off the hosting of My Shoe Store's website because she had a bad experience with purchasing an order from them. Karen was acting as the judge, jury and sheriff. She called Port City and was given the direct contact information of My Shoe Store to resolve her problem. She yelled at the support staff at the web hosting company because her demand to turn off their web hosting account was denied, and the word was given to end the call with Karen rather than continue to receive her abusive language and yelling.

What's next? Is she going to write complaints about PSNH, the electric company in Hampton, NH that provides power to their shoe store? Dear Karen, as stated before, please contact My Shoe Store at (603) 766-6173 and ask for Jessica or Mike and they will help you out.
