I'm so glad I read this. I was also contacting her about the 2003 Cadillac CTS. I wondered why the asking price was only $4000. She gave me a story about going through a divorce and losing her home and thats why she was getting rid of it so cheap. I'm really mad right now. I really thought this was legit ad I'm not far from Hampshire, IL so it would have been perfect. I wasnt asked about wiring money yet, but I'm sure it was coming. I feel bad for anyone thats been ripped off. I hope something can be done. These people have no conscience.

I am currently emailing with a Christina Creighton whom I found on Craig's List advertising a 2003 Cadillac for an unreasonably cheap price and a sad story. I thought it was strange she asked so little for it, and I saw the same pictures in a completely different ad in a completely different location. She says she lives in Hampshire, IL and the car is there. When she emailed me back it sounded pretty fishy, but I played along and told her I was reallllyyy interested, and asked for the vin # to look up a carfax report. It sounds very similar and I am emailing with her now so if there's anyway we could work together to catch this scam artist, let's do it!! Same thing with the brother, 1 free shipping a year, blah blah blah. I'm really glad I googled her/his "name" and found this report before I went any further. If anyone needs my help, let me know.

That seller delayed shipment (because of "reasonable" problems) long enough that by the time my purchase had arrived the clock for filing my claim on ebay was run out. Now I only use a credit card for ebay purchases, and if the seller states "no credit cards" or "PayPal accounts only", etc., in their auction I simply skip them. I have had two problems with ebay purchases that I made on ebay with a credit card, and both matters were resolved to my satisfaction within one week. This would NOT apply to a debit card! Good luck with those!
