My wife bought some Uggs boots through this web site: www.uggcentre.com. She initially placed the order 12/10/10 and received them 12/28/10 after being told they would be here in time for Christmas. We have emails to confirm this communication. Then, upon opening the package carefully yesterday (it was wrapped completely in bands of a yellowish opaque packing tape) four obvious fake pairs of Uggs were haphazardly placed inside the bottoms of four boxes w/ no lids, rather, two bottoms were used as lids. They were at least a 1/2 size smaller than the stamped size and the stitching was bad. The "fur" is like that on a kid's plush toy. After comparing them to older pairs my wife and daughter have and reviewing this possibility on the official Uggs website: Ugg Australia.com (the Ugg Icon appears next to the web address in the browser) we realized we'd been had by a forger. As the old saying goes: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." The price for the four pairs was around $360 and change, about 1/2 what a true pair costs. Now the web site is down and no return information was packaged w/ the boots. We did call our VISA card, though, and they said numerous claims were already being processed regarding this company so "get in line....." VISA!!!! Shame on you for aiding such a pervasive fraud! Uggs reported a LONG list of fraud sites on their web site so how can VISA grant so many accounts w/o vetting them first?!?!?!?!?
