I had originally e-mailed a breeder name Hollie Ortiz at holliereadypups@yahoo.com to get information on puppies to her classified ad #233798 listed on DomesticSale.com (which I do have all e-mails) She referred me to Nancy Gulley (not even sure if these are real names)

I e-mailed Nancy Gulley at nanteacupbabies@hotmail.com and she responded to me with pictures of 2 puppies she had left. Female $250 and Male $200 and information on both puppies. If I wanted the puppy shipped it would be an additional $200.

I replied to her e-mail and told her I was interested in the male and that I would be driving to pick it up and needed her address. She replied with the address and said that I could come at anytime.

My children did not want me to drive that far so they would pay for the shipping of the puppy. I responded to her again to let her know that I would like for her to ship the puppy and how payment should be made. I was told to send it by Money Gram at Wal-Mart. I guess that should have been my first clue!

She told me she would ship the puppy immediately once confirmation of payment was made. I got an e-mail that she would be shipping the puppy on Sunday after church around 4:15 and asked where was the nearest airport. She stated that she would send me the Flight details and tracking number as soon as she placed him on the plane.

Sunday at 9:30pm she sent me an e-mail stating that she was unable to ship the puppy because there were so many breeders shipping that day. I told her she had one last shot at shipping and then I wanted my money returned. She promised she would ship him Monday.

Well needless to say I have never received my puppy! I did trace the IP addresses of both individuals and they are from Lagos Nigeria!!!! I wish I had thought to do that before I sent money! I have read a lot of scams from Nigeria. Wonder what would have happened if I did drive to go get the puppy...no one home?

Stupid Scams

AUTHOR: Restless - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, August 15, 2009

My friend once called a scammer's bluff and drove out to their 'address'. Nothing there! Just an empty lot. And no one local had ever heard of them.

I'm sure they got a real laugh that she actually drove all that way to call their bluff out though.

Terribly sorry you got scammed. :(
