We received calls from Mike Stone, Thomas Walker, and David Harley, leaving messages to call back, but not telling why. They continued for months, becoming more frequent and demanding as time went on. NAFS finally admit that David Harley doesn't even exist. I reported them to the police and, when the police called NAFS, they said that information was coming in the mail. It never came. (The police officer commented how rude the woman was.) When my husband asked for written documentation that we owed money, the woman said, "Sure." and hung up immediately. We never got any documantation. They kept calling even after we told them that the social security number they were looking for was different than my husband's and mine. I've had enough!
I have a lot more to say, but I just came to the part of submitting this report---about how Arizona has jurisdiction over disputes, etc. Legal stuff scaares me, so I'll just stick to the facts that happened. I wonder how many people delete their report at this point.

You Go Mary........

Mary,
NAFS is harassing me also. Try this, when they call get a police type whistle and blow into the phone. And Don is incorrect. Debt collectors are NOT allowed to give false names!

There is no law requiring a debt collector to use their real name when calling. There are 3 states (North Carolina is one, and the other 2 I can't remember) that require that any aliases used be registered in that state.

I think I might have gotten rid of the NAFS phone callers. I decided to play their game and annoy them. Every time they called, I called back and stayed on the phone as long as I could. If they hung up, I called back. I had fun and they didn't like that. If I hear from them again (now I can hardly wait) I will sing, act crazy, speak with an accent, whatever is fun for me. When they told me to stop harrassing them, I said I'd stop whenever they stopped harrassing me, and I mean it.
