I bought in to the NADN scam and have not had any luck actually talking to a human who cares! I never received any "package" or any "materials" and this is what they tell me is delaying my refund. I call daily, and I usually get voicemail. I leave message after message and nobody ever calls me back.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and have heard nothing from it yet as well. So, today I called the IRS and opened a complaint with them. I was told that they may not be able to help, but the man who talked with me was very interested in this scam.

Realizing now that I am not the only one, has ANYONE received their refund from NADN without having to pay more to get it? I saw the report where the guy filed the lawsuit and his money was refunded, but, apparently like a lot of us here, I don't have enough money to pay a lawyer.

Also, has anyone found an actual class-action law suit against NADN? I mean, this is ridiculous! After reading most of these reports, I would expect that someone has opened one by now - and, of course, I would like to be a part of it.

I finally got my money back!!!! Hope this will help you!

AUTHOR: Ruthie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 19, 2004

The above suggestion is really good. Wish I had thought of that before. However, I finally did get my money back a few months ago. Though I almost ran out of it, my patience paid off.

I advise anyone else who is having problems with them to keep trying. Do like the above update says. And call frequently - Sit on hold as long as it takes to get a human and just keep annoying them. Record everything and each time you talk to someone tell them the specifics of the last call - so that they know you are recording who you talked to and what was said. Send them letters. File complaints to BBB. Do anything you can to annoy them and maybe help shut them down. There is a lawsuit filed against them by the State of Nevada - get involved in that, too!

Good luck to anyone still feeling the pain. I hope it pays off fo you! And I hope that the company is finally shut down for good!!!!

I got my money back-here's how

AUTHOR: Alice - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 16, 2004

Ruthie
I see that you are still having trouble with NADN. Here's how I got my money back

1. get a free e-mail address from hotmail.com

2. type a letter to them telling them that you want your money back and that you plan to send this e-mail as many times as it takes to get it taken care of.

3. send to awayirs@awayirs.com as many times as you can get the address into all 3 boxes for the receipients (approx. 30-45 times their names should fit in the box)at least three times at one sitting. at least 3 times a day

4. send the same message to customerservice@nadn.org. the same way (30-45 times) same #3

within 3 days I had a response that it was being considered. I replied that was great and I would suspend the e-mails for a short time, but would resume if I didn't get re-imbursed.
I had my money within 1 week.
GOOD LUCK!

Didn't Bite My Tongue to GEt Money Back

AUTHOR: Patty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, April 14, 2004

Yep, I fell victim to this ridiculous scam. Said they could help with my IRS debt. Took my money, $1500. Two months later received a call indicating they couldn't help but since they had started the work would only refund me $1,000. I also signed up with their malls of america, where they indicate you can get a huge write-off. I have yet to receive my tax papers. Instead I received a letter indicating that it would be another 4-6 weeks before they can get to my tax papers. I contacted our local newsstation and filed a complaint. In the meantime, I sent a certified letter to the president of NADN and the president of their Malls of America. By the way, Malls of America is not registered with the BBB. My newsstation informed me that the district attorney of Las Vegas had filed a class action lawsuit against NADN, and I'm trying to get that information. In fact, I just received a call from NADN -- he said he had good news! Thought it was going to be about my taxes, but instead he was trying to sell me another package. Said the package would cost $9,000 for their marketing program and he would put up the money --- sure I said, what's my cost -- $2,000. So I just hung up on him. Well, tax day is only two days away and once again I'm getting kicked in the butt because NADN has chosen to rob me of my rights -- they're a bunch of LIARS. I'm sorry, I don't care how desperate a person may be, but to take a job where you're taking bread off of someone else's table .... SHAME ON YOU!

Just because the IRS said they can't or won't do anything doesn't mean they won't.

Governemnt agencies investigate scam companies all the time and do not let the general public know so it doesn't interfere with the investigation.

Keep complaining, a little extra gas to the fire never hurt. Don't imply to the company someone is investigating. Prosecution will only happen if victims are not refunded their money. If they suddenly send checks they know they are next and trying to build a defense.

NADN SUCKS - YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AND MAY NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK

AUTHOR: Ruthie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 24, 2003

I call them several times a week. I have learned that I am supposed to get my money back. In fact, I have a letter from them stating so. That came from the Better Business Bureau of Nevada where I filed the complaint. I still don't have my money, but feel like I'm making progress.

I know that the manager is Mr. Contner and the Director of Client Care Division is Glenn Zell. So I am going to be calling them each day now.
Last week I was told that they had to put an accounting tracer on my refund. They did this on Tuesday and said if I didn't receive a call back by Thursday to call them. Ok, I called Thursday, Friday, Monday, Today. I still have not received the refund, nor have I talked to anyone with any brains or heart there. Today the girl I talked to told me that I would receive my money back within 20 days of the date of the letter they sent to the BBB.
I really wish there was a lawyer that would take this up for us and file a class action suit.

I was lucky and got my money back

AUTHOR: Bob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 28, 2003

My wife and I fell victim to this rip off in January. We were taken in by the same radio scam as everyone, be one of the first 40 callers and get a free tax cut kit. We signed up for 2 years at a cost of over $800 and were given all the great promises. After faxing my last 3 years returns, hoping for a refund we received nothing but a phone call offering us a new service. A supposed Internet page that would classify our house as a business and give us all kinds of deductions. When they refused to send me any information on this for me to review and wanted the routing code to automatically draft my checking account, I turned them down and immediately called to cancel our membership. I then found this web site and knew I had my work cut out for me to actually receive a refund. We followed all the steps to cancelling along with calling them almost every day. It took almost 2 months of constant haggling but we ultimately did receive a refund. We kept detailed documentation of each contact and were able to dispute the charge with our credit card company and never had to actually pay the fee. Shortly after this we did receive the credit. My advice is to stay as far away from this company as possible.

NADN Sucks, Won't give money back!

AUTHOR: Ruthie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 24, 2003

This note is to Frank, the NADN employee. You are wrong in that I called my credit card company and it was after 90 days. They cannot do anything for me. I hope that the FTC shuts down your crappy company. And if you are still working for them, I hope that you go hungry for as long as it takes to get through to you that what you are doing is wrong! I don't know how you can live with no morals and hurt people the way you do.

By your own admission, you are clearly commiting fraud. You are a criminal and should be in jail.

So, start to make amends for your actions, and give me my money back!!!

NADN, you fraudulent freaks, give me my money back!!

AUTHOR: Ruthie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 23, 2003

I have been calling several times a week. How long does it take to process a cancellation? I talked with someone tonight who stated that my refund was authorized on 4/4/03 and it was sent to accounting on 5/14/03.

One guy I spoke to last week said that they marked my materials received on 5/1/03 (the materials I never received!) I started my cancellation process back in February! I got confirmation of them receiving it back in March. It took until April to get it authorized and then another 6 weeks to get it to accounting?

What, do they employ turtles there? 6 weeks to "walk my stuff over to accounting" as they have told me so many times? I am hopeful, though, as I have to be - because I need the money. It seems that I may be making some progress, albeit very slow.

Incidentally, I saw that this issue is making more national news now:

Getting Your Mony Back From NADN

AUTHOR: Frank - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, May 23, 2003

I I cant believe what I am reading, I am an employee of the rip-off company NADN. All everyone says is that NADN have Credit Card Number and my money from my account, all you have to do is call youre C/C Company and give the 3 digits on the back of your Visa and M/Card next to your signature. That is as long as you gave it to us when you signed on for our service.
That is your insurance policy as to the 1994 Consumer Affairs Policy.

If you mean to tell me that you have a C/Card and dont know how to use it correctly, you need to educate your self fast.

NADN never has or never will never sell a real product to anyone, there is strict guide lines that I make the employees under me follow, mainly never give information that could indicate how an individual could get their money back.

Yes this company is a scam, but it pays the bills and puts food on the table.
P.S. I am sorry for your troubles with NADN. But you said yes ok lets do this and charge my account today, before you did any kind of research on this company. Some lessons have to be learned the hard way I guess.

I'm NOT being hastles by calls - I am trying to get my money back!!!

AUTHOR: Ruthie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 12, 2003

The rebuttal above does not apply to the original complaint. I am the author of the original. I know that I can have my name removed from sales calling lists. But that is not my problem.

I am already a member of the NADN and I am seriously dissatisfied and every time I call, I get voicemail for the manager. I never get a call back. I want my money back. I don't care at this point if they called me every day - because then at least I could tell a human at the company how unhappy I am and vent some of this frustration.

Does anyone know how I can get my money back more effectively?

Advice to others: If you paid for the service with your debit card or a check, my bank told me that they could help if I had called them within 90 days of the money clearing my account. Unfortunately, I did not meet the 90-day requirement with them. CALL YOUR BANK WITHIN 90 DAYS OF PAYING FOR THE SERVICE AND THEY CAN HELP GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!! :)

POSTED: Friday, May 09, 2003

I just received two phone calls from phone #702-889-8820 both on 05/08/03.

They called on my cell phone. I almost answered, but didn't recognize the number. I figured if it was an important phone call, they would leave a message, which they didn't.

This raised some curiosity ... I got online and searched in white and yellow pages.

BINGO!! I found out who they were. At first, I thought it was the IRS and that something may have been wrong with my taxes. Then I remembered, I didn't use my cell number on my taxes, only my home number. And I paid H & R Block extra money for the peace of mind for future audit problems.

I also did another search tonight through Google.
It's amazing how many other websites have info about this company and the word "SCAM" next to their name.

I'm hoping that these people call back, so I can waste some of their time. I DO have a home voice recording device that starts the minute my phone rings. It's worth the money! You can buy it at a Radio Shack for $99.00 or less.

You have to let the caller know they are being recorded, or have it beep in intervals.
Then it's all LEGAL. I'm not sure about all states, but if you have a conversation recorded at least one person has to know about it, then it can be used in court also. You may want to double check that though.

If this company calls, tell them to remove you from their call list. They MUST comply!!
Another choice would be to block the calls.

Thanks again to all for keeping us informed!!!!!
