I also was contacted by the National Benefit Agency in March, 2009. After sending them the $365.00 by check via certified mail to their address in Michigan I received the packet.

I composed a letter stating the amount of grant money I needed and for what purpose and included other pertinent personal information requested and mailed this back to them via certified mail.

A few weeks went by and I decided to contact them by phone to check the status of my application. I gave them my reference number and spoke to a representative who stated that my paper work was being analyzed by their 'attorneys' who would call be if there were any problems.

I was told that they would find the suitable grant agencies and file my applications for funds.

I called in May 2009 and was told that I should be receiving payments in the mail in mid-August from the Federal Grants agencies and that the checks would be made out to my business, not personal checks, and to make sure I had a business checking account.

August came and went and no mail/checks from any government agency. I then tried calling the National Benefit Agency, getting only a recorded message stating that all their representatives are busy with other customers and to leave a message, which I have been doing on numerous occasions.

Still no response. I want justice from this rip-off company. I want my money back.

ITS ALWAYS BEEN A SCAM - A VERY OLD SCAM

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, September 14, 2009

Why would you pay for info that is ALREADY FREE?  Not even just shipping and handling.   this scam also traps you into a negative option contract with monthly fees.

ALL SPELLED OUT IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!

Government Grant Scams

The "free money" scam has been around almost as long as the human species.

It has more variations than a bulldog has wrinkles but you can count on one thing: the government (any government) does not simply give money away to individuals. Anyone who tells you differently has larceny in his heart.

If you give him your bank account number, he will soon have your funds in his pocket.

It does no good to list all of the names used by these bunko artists because a.) they change all the time and b.) every single free-money government-grant offer is a scam. Period.
