This company word there mail deceptively to confuse the elderly. At first it implies that they have a cash prize waiting for them.

In reallity it is a prize Data Report they are trying to give you.  However they keep uping the amount each time. First $11.95, then 19.95 the last time they asked for 64.95 from my mom.Wish we could shut them down.

These people prey on the elderly

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 24, 2012

After my father died in 1997 my mother, who was then in the early stages of senile dementia, got bombarded daily with mail from these people and others like them.  Each letter told my mother she had won a large amount of money and had to send $9.95  to get it.  My mother would reply to each and every such letter with a check.  The company the OP writes about began sending multiple letters each day and my mother would send a check for each one.  By the time we learned what was happening, this one company was sending as many as 22 letters a day.

Based on the records I was able to obtain from my mother's bank, I think she spent about $36,000 on this kind of crap.  While that makes my blood boil, I have since found out about others who have lost ten to twenty times as much.

These letters are not coming from some lone scammer in Nigeria pecking out messages.  This is a big-time operation with many, many residents of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, profiting.  Someone makes money supplying the paper, ink, and envelopes.  Someone makes money printing all these letters.  Pitney Bowes makes money off the rental of their postage meters (I recall counting about 20 different meter numbers.)  The Post Office makes money off the postage.  A handful of locals are paid to handle both the outgoing and incoming mail.  Some landlord makes money off the rental of business property where this is all done.

Since this has been going in Shawnee Mission for at least 15 years that I know of, the city and the State of Kansas have to be complicit in this scheme to steal money from mentally feeble elderly.  If I could I would nuke that town right off the map.  Or maybe park a truck with a fertilizer bomb in front of an elementary school.  I think it is about time that the scumbags in Shawnee Mission paid the consequences of profiting from their crimes.
