I pulled my credit report and upon review, I saw National Credit Solutions with an original creditor as BMG Music Services.  I did not recognize this as a debt I owed. I called the number listed on the report (never got a bill from BMG or National Credit Solutions) and I ask them if they could validate this bill, send me some kind of paper work that I could look at to see just what this was. 

The individual was rude and said they could send me a bill to pay from them... but they did not have to validate anything.  On my report the original bill was $28.00 and present balance was $169.00  yet I told them it was not my bill and I wanted the account deleted from my credit report.  The answer was no, and so now I am stuck with this account on my credit report and even if I were to pay a debt I dispute it would remain. 

The credit bureaus are no help, if you dispute it, they don't get a validation from them, no paper work, original contract, bills, payment history.  I assume they just contact them and say does this person owe a debt and the company says yes and that is it.  Because when disputed, within a matter of minutes or hours, they have completed thier "investigation" and you have made no progress in resolving the dispute.

So this company with rude, threatening, agents... continues to list unvalidated reports on your credit.  The debt is not one that I incurred but it is on my credit report and I am stuck with it. Even though I considered to pay it (less expensive than an attorney) if they would delete it from my report, but the individual first said to pay it then they would remove it, I said you will have to send me a legal document stating upon payment for a debt that I dispute that it would be immediately removed from my credit report, before I pay anything (as the debt is not mine) and the individual said they would not put anything in writing and if I did not pay it, the negative report would remain indefinately and that they would use any and all means necessary to collect this debt (again not one I incurred) but they do not care about that, stating it is my problem not thiers.

I cannot believe the multitude of reports on this website as well as many other websites about NCS. I too was doing a random CBR check when I noticed my credit score had dropped by over 100 points. I was literally shocked. Transunion had a collection account listed as  owing to NCS in the amt of $115.00 with only a partial account number with no other details. Of course I started an immediate search for this company and spent considerable time finding a contact number. Eventually I was able to contact NCS and I was informed that this debt was owing to BMG Music/Direct Brands. The rep I spoke with sd I had ordered CDs and she had my correct mailing address. Other than that she had no other info. I immediately told her this is not my debt and that I have never ordered anything from BMG music. Her response was "well you paid $2.45 for delivery"  my response to that was bull****. I was very angry and upset that this had such a negative affect on my credit. I informed her I have no idea what this is for she said that someone in my household could have ordered it in my name and that with authorization from me someone as young as 13 could order products. Again, I told the rep I have never authorized anything to be ordered in my name, I have never received a bill from BMG, Direct Brands and have NEVER been contacted by NCS. About 5 days later I received a collection letter from NCS. I immediately disputed the debt in writing to NCS and all 3 major credit bureaus. I have since received a letter of so called "validation" from NCS and all it has is the information the rep told me over the phone. Their idea of verifying and validating debt is a joke. As of yesterday I wrote and sent a 2nd letter of dispute to NCS certified letter. I have also reported their company to the BBB, the Federal Trade Commission, the Oklahoma and Minnesota Attorney General. This is not my debt and in my opinion this company is a joke. I will NOT take this lying down. I have spent considerable time and money in the last couple weeks disputing this. It is worth it just on principle alone. I will NOT take this lying down. I WILL fight back. I DO know my rights.


Oh, by the way, I am a debt collector......"scamming" me is NOT going to happen.
