This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with. First, I have NEVER received a call, letter, or anything stating I owe the $978 they are trying to get from me. After applying at a apartment complex for an apartment last month, found that I was being denied the apartment because I owe money on a previous apartment. After NUMEROUS calls to their local and toll free numbers (,was never able to talk to anyone on either of their numbers, no matter what day or time of day), found them on the web and emailed them through their "contact us" link.
After two emails and the calls, there was still no response. I proceeded to fax a letter to them..and after all that, someone finally called me yesterday (after a month of trying to reach them). The representative told me this is what I owe, I basically told her not correct, asked for documented proof to be mailed to me. The sorry rep told me she could get it out to me, but didn't know when....WHAT? I am scheduled to move in a month, and can't get an apartment because of this and you don't know when you can send me proof? The funny thing is the same apartment they say I owe money for is the same complex I live in now!
New management, but after moving the first time, moved back to same complex 2 years later! I am now waiting to see this documented proof of this debt, as I do not owe it...but won't hold my breath..it will probably never come...but I will not pay anything unless I see proof..I have already filed complaint with federal trade commission and will now be going to BBB to file one as well. I also asked the rep if I see that I indeed do owe the money, being that it is showing from 2005 and I just found out a month ago, could there be a settlement offer...she said no and when i asked for the manager, she said they don't take calls..very rude and talking over me constantly. I tried to have it removed from credit agencies, but they validated it and said it is correct..don't know what I will do if this is not cleared within a month because with that crap on my credit report, NOONE will lease an apartment to me. I wish I could just go over to their office, being that I live off of Camp Creek Pkwy, but I know that may make it worse for me.

This is how they do business
AUTHOR: Consumer - (U.S.A.)

Because my case might go to litigation I will not post specific details.
I _may_ have been contacted by National Credit Systems. I don't know for sure if it is them who have been calling me (since November, 2007) because they have made no attempt to identify who they are. Every voicemail they have left sounds like a telemarketer and simply says "Please call me back at this number..." without stating who they are and why they are calling me. Even though they have a mailing address at which they could contact, they haven't. Based on my research, they have violated the law by not identifying themselves and by not following up in writing within 5 days of their first phone call.
The sad news is that my attorney told me there is nothing I can do - unless I am willing to spend serious money - to stop this. The even sadder news is that despite all the negative reports about them on this and other Internet web sites, those with the power to do something about them in Georgia (GA) and at the Federal level will do nothing.
So what can I/we do? I checked my credit report a few days ago and they hadn't reported anything against me. But just what kind of game are they playing? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm an educated person but my research doesn't tell me what to do next in this situation. If they are who I think they might be should I send them a letter disputing the debt? Should I complain to a government agency?
