After being assured this was a legitimate at-home opportunity back in June of this year (2008), and giving them my initial payment for "access" to their database in which to pull information (yes, I know I should have questioned it then). I realized within two business days that this was a scam. I called and got a voice mail, so I went back online and canceled my "associate agreement" as outlined. Only to discover for the past four (4) months I have consistently had debits coming out of my account from this company. The first month I attempted to reach them (# provided on my bank statement) only to find out the number had been disconnected. When I was debited the second month, I contacted the bank and asked if they could contact the vendor, since I was not able to, I was told no. I filed a complaint in writing to the company and asked that the funds debited from my acccount be returned and they did not have permission to deduct future charges (I provided a copy of my email as proof I had canceled the agreement). I received no answer and the third and fourth month I was charged again. I have canceled the credit card. Creating some hardship, but it will end the charges. I am out of $145.00. Lesson learned.

I have filed a complaint with the proper body in the state I live and have recently discovered my internet provider (AOL) has filed deceptive practices, fraudulent charges against the company in the State of Iowa.

If anyone has a class action suit against this company, I would very much like to be notified to be joined in the action.

UPDATE: ASP/ NHCD has been closed down.

AUTHOR: AnonymousWhiteKnight - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, August 30, 2009

On Thursday authorities arrested Grant Wilms, Hermann Wilms, and Kenneth Opstein. Each is charged with 29 counts that include theft, false writings, and computer crimes. It appears that ASP really was taking money out of people's bank accounts. The website for ASP is down and the Better Business Bureau has suspended the company's rating due to government action being taken against them. Below are the links to the BBB's official posting and a Kansas City news site that broke the story.

ASP is a Fraudulent Company

AUTHOR: Ex-asp Employee - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 05, 2009

Please take the rip-off reports on Affordable Service Providers (ASP) seriously and do not fall for this scam. I paid the $39 pre-employment screening fee and worked in HR, also was in line for a management position because my performance was so good but I wasn't paid a dime. ASP claims fraudulent sales were entered and their accounts are under audit, with any luck the bank will close them down. Currently, ASP is preying on the unemployed and offering a glimmer of hope, please look elsewhere for employment.

They change the dial-in information for their orientation calls every three weeks, calls go unattended and you will lose people that you have recruited. They are always working on the problems' that are never resolved.

I'm waiting for the check I received to bounce, will keep you posted.

Please save yourself the headache of working with this company.

ASP NATIONAL IS NOT FRAUD !!!!!!!!!

AUTHOR: Sabrinany - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 10, 2009

ASP National is a company that i have been working for, for years now and there is no fraud involved with this company !!!!! They are completely legit and you can earn a great income with them. First off you have your information wrong !!! ASP National does not charge you for a background check unless you specify that you would like to start off working in personell hiring people and even then they recommend that you start off working in the promotions department and once you get 10 refferals or 1 enrollment ( which by the way you get paid $50.00 per enrollment into the program ) you are able to work in personell hiring people. IF you are someone who does not want to get an enrollment first then you can choose to pay the 39.00 background fee. Which they recommend you to start in promotions to learn more about the program and what we have to offer. ASP National cares about us as employees and are willing to help you in any way necessary for you to be successfull at this business. You are a paid contractor when you work for them. One more thing Promotions and Personell are not the only positions that asp has to offer. You can do so much with this company and i am sorry that you were to ignorant to see that !!!!!!! All employees that work for ASP are now offended by your misunderstanding and misrepresentation of the company. If you would like some accurate information then go ahead and e-mail me and i will forward accurate information to you. My e-mail is (((Reddacted)))

You don't have correct information..

AUTHOR: Chelle - (U.S.A.)

ASP does not require you to pay for access to their database. They charge absolutely nothing to work for them! I am currently employed and paid nothing to work for them and am currently making money!

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Yes, its a Pyramid.

AUTHOR: Ac - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 27, 2009

So, I am a SAHM, working from home for over a year now with various companies. When I applied to ASP, it appeared to be legitimate. I paid $39 for a backround screen, which I have done with other jobs. No problem. However, as I began to actually perform the job, the scam became clear to me. All I was doing was calling "applicants" and offering them the same job I was doing. I would get paid for each hire into "personnel" and $3 for each that was hired into "promotions." The personnel job was supposed to be responsible for hiring for all departments in the company, but funny how the only two positions on the pay scale are personnel and promotions. I congratulate those of you who continue to get others to pay the $39 fee, because I just couldn't continue recruiting for this pyramid scheme.
"A pyramid scheme is a non-sustainable business model that involves the exchange of money primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, without any product or service being delivered." ASP definately fits the definition!

ASP National is a completely legitimate business. I have worked for them for over two months now and do very well with the company.

AUTHOR: Grantje - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 11, 2009

I have been employed by ASP National for almost 2 months now. I would like for the person that filed this report to give some kind of proof on how they were scammed. We don't ask for a start up cost and it is a work from home position. I get paid every week by direct deposit. I have great management support and love what I do. The only charge that is or ever will be asked for with this company is for a background check which we must do in order to screen our employees who are dealing with people's personal information, email, credit card numbers etc. The cost of the background check is done through Data Base Records and cost $39. If the person changes their mind after paying the fee they are refunded the money as long as they do it within the 72 hour time period. This is a great company and we are a member of the Better Business Bureau and you are welcome to look us up on there. The website is www.aspnational.com.

Your Complaint is not valid

AUTHOR: Mr - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, November 17, 2008

I have worked for this company for quite some time. Evey once in awhile, the Ripoff Report's name pops up and I get tickled to read the invalid complaints.

What you have on this site is a collection of retaliation from ex-employees that were either terminated or did not follow correct company policies/procedures.

ASP has never required an associate to "pay" to work. This complaint listed is completely invalid.

ASP provides Medical/Dental Savings plans to the public. These plans provide up to 60% savings for our members. All ASP employees/associates are "offered" these plans at a discounted rate. Again, this has always been an offered benefit, not a requirement to work.

Anytime you have legitimate telecommuting jobs, they are subject to be compared to the numerous scamful opportunities to earn from home.......I assure you, ASP is not in the like.

ASP is a wonderful company to work for. The products offered by our company save millions alot of money toward their health and dental costs. ASP is filled with happy employees and happy customers.

It's a shame that the uncreditable employees are taken seriously by some on this site.
