Our trip from California To Kansas started out well. Till we decided to hire National /Ay. When Ay Transportation (finaly) arived at our storage, we were told we could not go buy the boxes we needed to finish the packing they said we needed to do(for our things safety), that we had to buy their boxes. And if we gave them(the drivers) $200.00 cash up front, they could save us $400.00 . Yes we paid .
Our invetory papers said,"PBO " which means" packed by owner", on every box "they" packed. When our things finaly got here we had dishes boxes inside wordrobe boxes, ones with our things in them but other peoples names on them.
Oh speaking of our things getting here.HAHAHA They were late ,but it states on our contract that "Ken" signed that if we were not here for delivery it would be $85.00 an hour or $350.00 a day. Thought that was kinda strange. Does that mean our weight was over because they were late and we had to pay them ?
Oh yea speaking of weight, The delivery driver "Ken" (HAHAHA) insisted on weighing at the local truck stop.Wanted to know if we were going threw town, because he did not want to go threw the weigh scales out on the interstate. For inspection reasons. so we took him threw town. After we waited for 2 hours for him to find help .
It cost us over $1,ooo.oo more than quoted, (estamted Quote). It is now 7 days later and we are still finding things broke or missing. So we are to file a claim and if we leave our name and number with the claim office they will send us a claim file as soon as possible. Something is wrong with that picture. Speaking of pictures, yep we took a few. Even ones of the first Ken mover . (hahahaha)
Can anyone tell me how to get our money for damages (if that is possible).
P.S. The best one I fell For is David at national said"Victoria, you need to becareful of moving companies. They will quote your weight price, then raise it before you can have it" . Rolling eyes here.

Have you ever seen the movie Glengarry Glen Ross. David Lamondin reminds me of Ricky Ramone played by Al Pacino. What a smmoth talker he is. This guy is a born salesman. He truly can "Talk the Talk". In saying all this though, it is not David's co., so directing your comments at him doesnt seem right. Maybe he should look for another job, but he's just like all of us, trying to make a living. It is indeed very hard to get ahold of anyone in this co. I tried to call up to do an interview with Dave, but couldn't get through Fort Knox ( the ever so intelligent recepionist ).
